Ryann and I have been sharing Tuesdays, and our theme has been to use your scrapping supplies for your cards….no special card-making supplies necessary. This week I’m showing a simple card style that can put together in no time flat, particularly if you use pre-made embellies. I’ve made it in a 4.25” square (you can put it in an A2 envelope without paying extra for the “odd” size), or 5” square to go in an A7 envelope without needing extra postage. If you are collecting points for the team challenge, the points are: *Create a card based on the challenge: 2 points *Apply the twist to your card: 1 point *PLUS: create the card AND use BOTH of the twists for a bonus of FIVE points! Completion bonus: complete at least one card for ALL the CARDtober challenges for a COMPLETION BONUS of FIFTY points. Twist #1: use a corner rounder on the card. Twist #2: make it gender neutral If you are collecting points for the team challenge, the points are: *Create a card based on the challenge: 2 points *Apply the twist to your card: 1 point *PLUS: create the card AND use BOTH of the twists for a bonus of FIVE points! Completion bonus: complete at least one card for ALL the CARDtober challenges for a COMPLETION BONUS of FIFTY points. Here’s the “recipe” for the card. By the way, I recommend using patterned paper with small designs for these: And here are a few variations of the card:

I love this MichyM! I think this is one I can do before the end of the month. I am sooooo behind. I am always amazed at how professional you cards look. You have such a great way of putting colors together and making wonderful embellishments.

MichyM thank you for the card challenge. I really like the simplicity for such a good result. Rounding the corners gives it a cute look. Your cards are all different themes but all look so good; what a versatile design.

I had a surprisingly hard time with this one, mostly because my ephemera just didn’t seem quite right. I do love the card pattern/idea, though. It’s fun to see the different takes on this design. I ended up fussy cutting my “ephemera” for this card. And it is definitely gender specific, but since I am not on a team or going for points, I took a few liberties.

MichyM, thank you for the challenge and for being a Hostess for Cardtober. Your cards are always so beautiful. Thanks for sharing them with us. Your colors and patterns always go together so perfectly. jjpeapea, your Christmas card is so pretty. I love the designs you chose and the way they fit together. The stocking flair is such a cute touch. I love your Merry Little Christmas stamping. Great job. scrapnnana, your pretty lavender pastels are beautiful. I love the spray of flowers that hangs over the sentiment. Simply wonderful card. I always love purple and this is lovely. The 3rd card is for this challenge. I took the liberty to change the size to my regular card size. I made the embellishment from a print and cut on my Silhouette and sized it too large to look good on the smaller card. I could either make a new one or increase the card size. Since I hadn’t yet cut the strips, I chose to change the size. We scrappers have to improvise, right? Cardtober #23, #27 and #25

Cardtober #23, #27 and #25 These turned out great nylene ! Thank you for the idea to turn your version of my share into a rectangle card. The embellishment I initially chose for my "let it snow" card ended up being too large for a 4.25" square. I'll definitely try making an A2 with it thanks to you ETA: also, I really like the Merry Christmas die you used on it. I have a stamp that's similar to that, but if you happened to know the info on the die I'd love to know it. Thanks!

MichyM, the die I used was a gift from a friend getting rid of a stack of dies. She didn't know the maker. Thanks for your sweet comments.
