This is on our ballot. I already know how I'm voting, just wondering what the peas think of ranked choice voting.

Definitely for. In the current climate of hyper partisanship, it helps eliminate the more extreme candidates, like Sarah Palin in Alaska.

100% in favor. It eliminates the extremes.

Think about what it could lead to. In Florida, for the 2018 gubernatorial election, it would have most likely lead to a general election race between two Republicans, Adam Putnam and Ron DeSantis.

They have this where DD2 lives and she loves it. I think it would cut down on the chances of a 3rd party candidate "pulling" votes from one of the others. People could still vote for that 3rd party candidate but if that candidate didn't get enough votes (depends on how it's defined), the voter's 2nd choice would be recorded.

I’m for it. It makes for a more representative election, IMO.

I'm not familiar with the candidates from that election. But, the top 4 candidates from the primary would go on to the general election. Maybe there would have been a Democrat in there? But, Florida won't get the chance. DeSantis passed a bill to ban it, anywhere in the state, regardless of what voters want. www.wptv.com/news/state/florida-bans-ranked-choice-voting-in-new-election-law

You’re right, it may have. But at least it cuts out the most extreme candidates on either end of the spectrum. I think that’s a fair trade-off, especially in a state like Florida, where a Republican is likely to win in any case.
