I have a Big Shot and have a stars die and a circles die that cuts four shapes at once that I use all of the time, but the one I always wonder why I don't own is one that cuts hearts... I have two heart punches, and a Silhouette but "my scrapping life would be so much easier if I had a heart die for the Big Shot," says me every time I need a heart for a page. I finally went on e-bay and ordered one. Sometime in November all the hearts will be mine!!! So what item would complete your craft life, that you don't own ? Besides a craft room, a robot to clean the room, and more time

Oh, I'd like a robot!
I would really like a photo printer. I often want to do a better crop or print another photo in the middle of a layout. A photo printer would be handy.

I have a Silhouette Cameo that I use extensively for titles, words, die cuts, and other embellishments. I've never wanted a cutting machine that uses dies (bc I don't want to buy dies when I already have a lot of cut files for the Cameo)...but I often find myself wanting to emboss something and am reluctant to spend the time doing it manually (too fiddly and tedious and for mixed results), so I go around in circles about wanting some sort of cutting tool that I can use to emboss. I'd be OK with a manual one, but have no idea what to get, probably the Spellbinders Platinum since it folds for a smaller footprint. I don't want to spend too much and I don't want something huge, but I think I'd really get a lot of use from it for embossing.
ETA: Good thread topic!!

Why don't I own a die cut machine that can cut a larger die like Tim Holz?
Why don't I own an electronic diecut machine like a cameo?

Why don't I own an electronic diecut machine? (I have had two hand me downs in the past and neither worked) and I bought a Baby Cricut when they first came out and I LOST it. (probably left behind at a retreat). I am destined not to have one.

i like to make my own flair for projects. a 1.313" punch would be great for cutting out the circles that would fit perfectly in the button machine. wouldn't you know it----the scrapbook world has all sizes of circle punches but not the 1.313". i know i know, it's a totally random size and that is why the one i want costs $55.00. i've been hand cutting the circle images myself but it is a pain when you make 40 buttons at a time.

I have a button machine from Button Boy and it came with the punch. I went to find the punch to link it to you, and it’s $54 including shipping, so maybe the one you are talking about. Sorry, not helpful after all, lol.

I would love to exchange my Vagabond and Gemini machines for a Big Shot Switch. Unless they croak it won’t happen.

With the accumulation of slim line dies it would be so much easier if I had the extended platform for the big shot. Currently I have to adjust and run the dies through twice to catch the ends.
breetheflea …. I broke down and got heart dies 2 days ago!

Heart cutting tools for me too! Either dies or punches or something...I always think I have them. And then I go to create a heart, and all I've got are some templates from 1999. My hand cutting always looks not smooth so I get frustrated. I don't want to fire up the Cricut to just cut some hearts.

Also, the "right color" green marker. I have lots of green markers. But none of them seem to be the appropriate color to color foilage, stems, leaves, etc. in a shade that matches my project.

The only thing I reallllly want, but I cannot purchase is the Glowforge. I reallllllly want it and can afford it, but I worry that I just won't use it and it isn't cheap. But oh, the gifts I could make.

It wasn’t the price that stopped me either, it was the one can I hook this up & use it myself without help that stopped me. My kids think I’m nuts

My kids think I’m nuts I've watched videos of it and it needs to be in a room with ventilation. That is kind of an issue unless I put it in the garage. I have a room with windows, but I am not sure if it would be enough.

Ink Pads, why havent I purchased new ink pads? All mine are about 15 years old and now that I'm doing a lot more stamping I think I'm going to invest in the new magnetic closure CTMH ones.. I got 2 from a sale online and really love them.

But oh, the gifts I could make. Same here. But I don’t feel like I can afford it, and I don’t know where I would put it. And I wonder how much I would really actually use it, too. On the other hand, part of me thinks the Cameo 4, with the capability of cutting balsa wood might be a more affordable and better (for me) option. I can’t quite bring myself to think that seriously about it, though.

I am the most computer, technology-challenged Pea in the pod. I played with the free Cameo software for one day and ordered the machine. My DSIL came over to help if I needed it, but he was busy with DH for a while. By the time he came into the scraproom I had that Cameo cutting! I think you will be surprised at how easy it is. There are lots of things to learn, but there are a lot of online helps and the Peas are an amazing resource for help.
