Trying to see if I can survive financially if I cut another day of working off(I've already cut hours a lot because I'm awaiting disability approval-hopefully anyway-). I already don't spend much, have a low amount of bills and only work retail on a limited hour status so not raking in money..
However.. I do have a daily dunkin habit for iced coffee, probably spend around $90 a month. This far I've claimed it as the only thing I allow myself for ME. Tbh cutting it down almost doesn't seem very beneficial $$ wise meaning if I cut it in half that's about a $10 week savings.. still seeing where else I can cut too..
I have a pour over system. I've made coffee ahead for a couple days and kept it in the fridge and made it how I'd want before. But would I be able to make it ahead, and once it's cooled add in the creamer a such and have it ready in my cup(s) so all I have to do is grab one? Would it somehow get weird or something? I know I'd need to shake it up .. Honestly don't know I'll go that far as to actually do it,but I got to wondering this morning.

Depending on how far the Dunkin' is, there's also the minimal savings of gas if you were to stop going altogether, as well as the $90 per month in savings. Perhaps instead of cutting back by half, or opting to go on as usual, you could try making it a special treat and haivng it once a week, or even twice a month? It's hard to find ways to cut back these days with nearly every darn thing being more & more expensive all of the time.

I would put it in Mason jars so you could just open the jar, add ice and creamer and shake it up each morning.

A long time ago when on a strict budget, I did the same thing—once or twice a day iced lattes from across the street from where I worked. It was kind of a social thing too. So I started making iced coffee at home and it was just as good. It took some experimenting since I wasn’t really a coffee drinker other than that habit.
I made the coffee double strength so when ice melted it still tasted good. I’d just pour the coffee, lactose free milk, sweetener into the cup that had ice in it. So the coffee in the frig didn’t have anything added to it, was just double strength coffee.

I buy the pre made Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee bags and stick them in a 2 liter container. The box is $10 and contains enough to make 4 liters of iced coffee. I also make my own creamer (2 parts (half and half with one part sweetened condensed milk). Those 2 containers cost me around $7. So for 2 weeks of really good iced coffee, I’m spending around $12. I do feel like it gave me a nice little cost saving, especially because I was getting my iced coffee at Starbucks every morning.

RAVES. You can pour it hot into it and it cools your coffee right down.

I make 2 cups before I head to bed. Let it cool down a bit then cover and place in fridge.
Then I have 2 cups ready for the next day. I have one I the morning and one in the afternoon.
Morning is just iced with a little Lactaid milk. Afternoon I add 1 sugar packet along with the milk.

Contact your phone company etc to see if they can lower your bills. We contact our phone company once a year and talk to the loyalty department and have our home phone down to twelve dollars a month. We have a Costco credit card. Our vehicles get fuelled there as the prices are lower. Last year, we received over $650 rebate on our card. We carry little cash, pay our car and house insurance on the card, groceries etc. It casts more but we are a Costco Executive Member and occasionally get bonus savings, The rebate we get pays for it and puts extra money in our pocket. We sell things in Facebook Marketplace. We split our Perennials in the Springtime and have repeat buyers.

To the OP, I love iced coffee. I really like the Cold Brew you can buy from the grocery store. I make ice cubes out of it so it doesn't water down my coffee.

In the summer I often make pitchers of black coffee and stick it in the fridge. When we are ready to drink it each one pours it into a glass with ice and add sweetener and milk or whatever they like.

I work 0.7 FTE, 4 days weekly alternating with 3 days. I worked full time for 10 years and then 4 days weekly for about 2 and at current schedule for the past 2. I have an extraordinarily stressful job with a very high rate of burn out so the decision was made to try and improve work/life balance. I calculated everything ahead of time so I was very aware of the change in budget. Going from 1.0 to 0.8 really didn’t impact me much but for some reason, stepping down to the 0.7 feels different. Personally, the money for coffee may not seem like a lot but the reality is that $90 monthly adds up over time. For me, that would be most of a cell phone bill or a trip to the grocery store. I understand it feels like something that’s self care but isn’t more time off work a form of self care also? Cutting streaming subscriptions can make a big difference too. I tend to alternate my subscriptions so I can catch up on Netflix one month and the next Hulu (or whatever). I use the library instead of buying books. I eat out very rarely and cook more. Other things, I don’t get pedicures/manicures, eyebrows/lashes (I never did but I know a lots of people do). I buy generic forms of certain things, like the Kirkland brand K cups rather than Starbucks, etc. I also have a credit card that gives me credit on Amazon. I use my credit card for everything I can (I pay it off monthly) and use the points to make purchases on Amazon. All of these things do seem to help over time. Best wishes! Having more time away from work is worth it.

We have this cold brew maker and we love it. (I chose this one because the mason jar is easily replaced if it breaks) Dh likes his very strong so we make it at his preference and then I water mine down before adding sweetener, almond milk etc.

My college aged daughters like their Starbucks but on a college budget, it’s a sometimes treat. They both make a pitcher of cold brew at the beginning of the week using the pre-packaged bags from the grocery store. They like the store brand just fine. Pour finished brew over ice with some oat milk and a splash of Torani syrup and they’re good to go.

I use my ninja to make iced coffee if I want a mocha like drink, but for every day iced coffee I LOVE the Trader Joe's instant ice coffee. It is crystals, but made for ice coffee. I never liked the bags or cold brew concentrate because it never made my coffee strong enough. The crystals are delicious and cheap. I can get 10 days of coffee out of one 3.99 container.
People thought I was nuts, but I brought some into work and everyone loved it.
I just add a splash of fancy creamer (all natural vanilla).

You could make a strong pot of coffee, let cool and then refrigerate. They have Dunkin Coffee Creamer at Walmart for about $3.50 for a 32 oz bottle. Maybe a couple of those a month. That would trim quit a bit off of you $90 habit.
I told my family if we go to a fast food place they needed to order off the value meal sections. lol Not funny any more with the prices of take out food these days! Or any food in general. But honestly, a couple items from the value section and a drink from home saves a lot of money.

Do you use a blender to mix the condensed milk into the half and half? How much do you make at a time and how long does it last?

I make. One ahead and have it in the refrigerator. I have ice cube trays just for coffee ice cubes so it doesn’t melt and water down the coffee.

Iced coffee is an easy thing to make at home. You can either make cold brew or pour over. Just make it extra strong to account for ice dilution. Make it ahead and add creamer and sweetener. You’ll be surprised at how easy and delicious it is. And it will save you a lot of money. You can make it as good or better than the coffee shop.

No Costco here. No Sam's. No trader Joe's. I already buy store brand everything and buy very little, the 24 yr old buys his own stuff. We split rent and lights and the owner is a very long time family friend, seriously our rent is super low.
I do Ibotta and some surveys and save that up all year for Christmas.
I have a pour over system I love, I just need to get back into doing it.
I really was just wondering if I could mix the creamer into the coffee ahead of time so it'd be grab and go.(I watch my gbaby pretty often and it's a early start those days, and the days I work I close).

I imagine as long as the cream is good the coffee will be fine. I would just mix it the night before though.

My container is one of those protein shake mixer things. It has one of those whisk-like metal balls. Every time I use it, I shake the container just a little bit. It will last a full two weeks. I have gone 17 days, but that was pushing it.

I’d add the creamer the night before. I don’t think it would taste as good if the coffee with cream was sitting more than a day or two. But the coffee itself will stay fine for a week or two.

My daughter has a Dunkin iced coffee habit too. When she was staying with us at our cabin this summer we had a jar where we'd pour our leftover coffee and put it in the fridge. She'd added ice and flavored creamer. My number one way to save money is to stay home. I quit buying clothes too.

I would put it in Mason jars so you could just open the jar, add ice and creamer and shake it up each morning. I brew strong coffee into a mason jar with ice and creamer to put in my lunch. I just shake and drink.
