I've bought from them before (four items). I did have one stamp set with a misspelled word. The image showed it was spelled right. I was too lazy to dispute it though.

refugeepea Disputes on AliEx are easy! It takes a couple minutes at most to log a dispute. Just take a picture and pick off the matching options from drop down lists. I guess maybe if your time is more valuable than the cost of goods, it might not be worth it but I always end up disputing if there's something wrong with my order. And I get a full refund 99.9% of the time. AliEx has one of the better managed dispute systems. I prefer it over eBay's, even.

I’m not a fan of their clear stamps. I’ve not gotten good results stamping with them.
I mostly buy stand alone dies and gems and really don’t have any complaints. Recently, I purchased a few sets of layered stencils and they are great. Of the hundreds of dies, I’ve only had issues with a handful. Their prices have increased a lot in the last few months. I used to be able to get most of the popular dies for under $4. Now lots of dies are $5 - $7. I was always able to get free shipping but my last couple of orders did have shipping charges. One other important thing is that I’ve been shopping there for years and knock on wood, have never had an issue with my credit card being compromised. i'm so glad you brought this up. i was going to try their clear stamps but wasn't very confidant that they would leave good impressions. i've noticed the price increase too but their shipping has really gone up. gone are days when shipping was for far less than an dollar for each item. now i only shop where i can get free shipping with a minimum purchase. the dies i have ordered from them have always been good. however, i ordered a die recently and what i got was far smaller than what the listing photo showed. that was disappointing because that die wasn't cheap AND i had to pay for shipping because no one else had it. now EVERYONE carries it. just my luck. i have an order that's a few days overdue. there are 8 items and some items show an estimated delivery date of a few weeks from now while the others are supposed to come now. i've never had an order broken up into several deliveries so it will be interesting to see what happens. speaking of delivery, a couple of recent orders came from a US address in a different state. the original label was from china but i guess the US company put a new label to my address. that's new to me. and my CC has also never been compromised.

i'm so glad you brought this up. i was going to try their clear stamps but wasn't very confidant that they would leave good impressions. Caveat I'm not a heavy stamper. In my experience the acrylic stamps I've gotten from AliEx have been identical in quality to any other clear acrylic stamp from local purchases. I've had one set that wasn't cured properly and was oddly smelly/oily which I got a refund for. The rate of flaws is a little higher since there's no QC, but overall I've been happy with my few stamp acquisitions. i've noticed the price increase too but their shipping has really gone up. gone are days when shipping was for far less than an dollar for each item. now i only shop where i can get free shipping with a minimum purchase. There are still free shipping and nearly free shipping stores, but I agree they are much rarer now than before. Many shops have free ship thresholds of 35-45$ Can which is more than I really want to get in almost any shop. So those would be my rec's for best shipping deals. Links for the shops below are in the master post. • LB, LE and LO have free shipping if you buy any three items or more. LE & LO (but not LB) also have the upgraded Fast Shipping if you buy X$ total offer.
• HappyCraft Free Shipping if you buy any three items.
• lover-handicrafts has free shipping on almost all their things but their prices are on the higher end of decent on some items. Still good if you only want a couple of things.
• Roxanne handicraft has almost all free shipping on over 2,000 items. • Le mon crafts has a flat shipping fee (it's 1.21 Can, probably ~1$US) no matter how many items you buy and Fast Delivery.
• CYFUN DESIGN & DIY-LIFE - about 80% of their stock is Free Shipping. They've got tools/supplies and not just stamps/dies. • Arricraft - Free Shipping on almost all their items. • Dreamcatcraft - buy 7 for free shipping.
And yes, it's imperative to always, always check for a listed size and RESIST buying if there is no listed/shown size (unless you truly do not care what size it'll be.) Most sellers are happy to send you dimensions or a grid mat picture if you ask for it. I've also gotten a lot of orders sent from inside Canada via SpeedPak recently, pretty sure if you get the Fast Shipping option that's how the order comes - repacked domestically.

The stamp quality is just okay. I get simple images though. Usually words. I don't think I'd chance buying stamps where you layer images.

i recently got rid of almost all of my clear stamps because they just never stamped as crisp and clean as the red rubber stamps. all i have left are the clear Technique Tuesday alphabet sets. don't know why i'm hanging on to them since i've never even used some of them. my issue with clear stamps is the stickiness they get over time. never mind the yellowing. it's the stickiness and the tearing apart. they also really absorb some inks and that ink doesn't come off.

I'm okay if they yellow. I think it helps I live in a dry climate? Not sure. I haven't had issues with them tearing apart. I try to remember to use a white eraser across the stamp before I stamp the first time. I have added some double sided tape to stamps that lose their stickiness. Ironically, it's Paper Person stamps and Kelley Purkey planner stamps (hero arts? I think) that have had this issue. So far, none of the cheap sets.
Dumb question, but how do you stamp with your rubber stamps? Keep the wood? If you use a stamp platform, do they just naturally stick?

The ones I've taken off the wood, I don't keep the wood. that would be counterintuitive. Lol I just started using a stamp platform but there is no problem with them sticking to the acrylic lid because the stamps i use have that spongy cling mount to them. For some unmounted stamps, I've had to put a tab of Aileen's Tack It Over on them so they stick to the acrylic block.

I placed my first order earlier this month— about the time this thread was started. I ordered a variety of dies and a couple stamps. I’m anxiously awaiting delivery but know better than to think they’d arrive a week after ordering. I’ll just keep an eye out and hope they show up soon-ish.

To restore the "stickiness" of photopolymer stamps, simply employ the sink drain stopper before gently cleaning (not soaking) clear stamps in warm soapy water (using a soap without moisturizers/etc.), rinsing thoroughly with plain warm water, & letting them air dry (not on paper towels or other material that may cling to the wet stamp). As far as I'm aware, all clear stamps from AliEx are going to be acrylic, not photopolymer. They aren't sticky to begin with (or shouldn't be!) so washing them doesn't change anything. And of course red rubber stamps aren't sticky at all.

I have all kinds of stamps from there, again from select sellers. They layer beautifully! I've never had any issue

Has anyone ordered embossing folders from AliExpress? I'm waffling because it looks like they are really metal impression plates, not actual plastic folders. If you have ordered some and got actual plastic folders, what store?

Some of my stamps fall off the platform when I flip it over to stamp on paper.

Hm, I've never had a problem getting clear acrylic stamps to stick to a block or platform. Maybe because I only have cheap stamps? Is either of them (stamp/platform) dirty? Debris will interfere with the cling. I've also found really little stamps don't stick so well even brand new. My usual solution is a bit of double sided tape for those.
But it may just be aging. Virtually all plastics are volatile and degrade over time. They have a very short period of stability when compared to many other materials.

Sorry, I don't know what brands are made of what! All my stamps come to me second hand or from AliEx. Figured they might be talking about knockoffs, given the thread topic.

I have purchased stamps from Ali that were direct copies of Heidi Swapp stamps. Some from her stamp society and monthly captions sets before I became a subber. I haven't noticed a difference between the way those stamp and the way the ones from HS stamp. I will say as she does her monthly sneak peek of stamps and the STB class, she says the Stamp Society stamps are photopolymer and the STB kit stamps are acrylic. The SS can and do stamp lovely with distress oxides. She always tells members that the STB kit stamps are acrylic and that they stamp best using archival inks. They are more crisp with that type of ink. Maybe those of you that are having trouble getting a good image could try using an archival ink.

The first of my 11.11 purchases arrived today, much earlier than I was expecting! Fast Shipping is indeed fast. These came from LE and lince. I'm especially pleased with the gryphon. It's the first one I've ever seen. Hard to get anything mythical that isn't a unicorn/pegasus, dragon, or mermaid. I like all of those, but I want other cool stuff too. Where are my manticores, medusae, chimeras, phoenixes and werewolves? Hobgoblins, kelpies, kitsunes, kappas and kirins? I have seen a werewolf or two but they were not appealing in shape. Guess I'll just have to make my own, alas!

I have purchased from them, but the last two times were a bait and switch and then an order sent to an old address issue that never got resolved (no item and charged for it). They said too bad, so sad. Won't do business with them again. I only used stores that took Pay Pal because I do know people who had their CC compromised. I will buy from some Amazon sellers that I believe are selling their merchandise, but they have the stock available and my correct address. Agree with all of this. Always had free shipping, now more and more stores are charging for shipping per item. Tip: I will say be on the lookout when you get to your cart at the bottom of each stores items in your cart might be something you can click on that will say “spend xx more and you’ll get free shipping”. Also sometimes each item will show a shipping charge next to it , but if you’re going to buy everything from your cart from one store click on “a “select all” for that particular store and sometimes the shipping charges disappear! Also I’ve noticed the prices have gone up… the way of the world I guess :/

Does anyone have a good seller for older Honey Bee Items (looking for the discontinued coffee shop, toy store, haunted house and the gingerbread house stamp and die)?

Hm, I can't say I've seen those but I don't usually look for stamp/die sets. I have seen HB stuff here: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004889704646.htmland here and I'll keep an eye out, though I'm not doing much shopping right now on AE. Too many things already on my plate!

Hi, this is my lst time posting here. I used to post on the former 2 peas forum years ago. I'd like to ask the experienced AE shoppers regarding a big issue I currently have with an AE seller. That seller has been listed on recommended stores to deal with. In early Nov, AE announced their site sale. I purchased stamps and dies from 2 stores I'll call SS#3 and YTT which I believe are owned by the same person. I've been buying AE products for approx. 4 years w/o much issues. My YTT order was shipped to the airport? twice and returned twice to the seller according to the AE tracking info. By the time YTT shipped a 3rd time, I was told by YTT it would be done offline (couldn't be tracked by AE). The seller combined the YTT and SS#3 order together. That's why I concluded both stores are owned by the same person. According to the new tracking #/info. the shipment hadn't left China yet. Then, suddenly, AE CS closed my order citing security reasons. I didn't know if it was too late to cancel the order as it was about to leave the country. A refund would be issued by AE. I asked the YTT seller how would he get paid. The seller said don't worry about it as long as you receive your products. The shipment arrived within 2 wks. I think it was shipped from China and then onto Kentucky. The YTT order was fine & complete. The SS#3 order was missing 3 dies and I was also sent 3 incorrect items. I informed the SS#3 seller I was going to file 6 disputes. SS#3 seller said he/she would resend the products. I said no, I'd like refunds. I filed the disputes but was rejected. There were no options (reasons) for missing items. The robot or person reading the initial dispute filing probably thought oh she rec'd the shipment so it's not missing..Reject! Then, I re filed again even though I supplied photos and explanations on the initial dispute filings. Then, the SS#3 seller asked me to cancel the disputes and would refund me. I said no again. I told him/her in the Message Section that AE would handle the disputes outcome. Now, YTT is asking me to pay him/her. Certainly, the seller should get paid. But I also mentioned to the seller had YTT not shipped offline (and my original AE order got cancelled because YTT did not supply the tracking # in the lst place)...I wouldn't be in such a dire situation. YTT seller wants me to click onto a red link which is I think a resend link and bill me there? I have never asked nor dealt with any resend of products. I don't want to be in a fishy or sticky situation where my credit card might be compromised because I clicked onto that link. I asked the seller if he/she might accept Pay Pal. I don't have a PP account yet but it can be set up. I've read on the internet some sellers in China don't like PP because they must pay a fee. I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to proceed. Click onto the resend link? Mainly, I wanted the SS#3 disputes to be refunded because I was also worried about the buyer protection expiring. I've read on the internet, if that happens, I have no recourse and the seller has the upper hand. Thanks for reading my long post. Hope to hear your thoughts soon. Sorry for the long post. Regards.

When you filed your disputes, the very first drop-down should have had an option for "Delivery Status" (Received in part or whole) or (Item not received).
You should pick the first option if you got a package and the tracking shows it was delivered. Then the second menu will give you option for "Items are missing" or "Item doesn't match description / Style not as described" if you got the wrong thing.
If the tracking doesn't show it being delivered, then you dispute under (Items not received). If tracking shows the package was delivered for that order, it'll automatically be rejected if you try to dispute it as not delivered, since shipping says something did arrive.
The general rule is never deal with sellers outside of an official dispute. You get no protection if they resend something (or don't) and it never arrives. If you have the option I'd attempt to pursue a refund through AE's dispute center directly.

Hey paperlovinggal - I wish I could give you advice but I can't...dodgy international shopping is exactly that I have seen MANY stores on Ali occasionally have a separate item labeled "LINK FOR AMERICAN SHOPPER" or "ONLY FOR SHIPPING" or strange things like that with no items attached, and I've assumed it was for customers in situations like yours. Because I've seen that happen so many times, I assume it's their work-around in these situations and would trust it. HOWEVER, I for one would not be using my credit card! I haven't paid except by Paypal in well over a year. Maybe it's different in Canada, but ALL the stores now accept my Paypal. I really hope you get it sorted out.

paperlovinggal I’ve never experienced anything like that. Since it was the sellers decision to move off the AE platform and they said don’t worry about payment, I’d let them deal with AE for payment from you.
