I love printing my journaling and then slicing it into strips to add to my pages. Does anyone have a preferred die? Also wondering if there is a way to ensure your printed journaling spacing fits the various sizes for strips or if that is more trial and error?

open strip diesI have not used any dies for strip journaling but I recently got some sb.com slimline strip dies. Those kind of dies might work for you. This Paper Rose brand above with open strips might be perfect. Different brands might have different widths, but not all of them are open.

I'm actually in the process of ordering a specific die to try this out. I am pretty good with cutting printed journaling but I love the look of paper that's been die cut and has that finished edge.

Thanks! I too can do a decent job hand cutting but figure if I had a die I would create a corresponding journaling template on my computer to match the spacing on the die and speed the whole process up. The die linked above looks great…I’ve found a couple other options and I think the max number of lines is 5…but I can be quite wordy 😉 so the more lines the better.

You might be able to find a cover plate die that is just strips? I could swear I've seen such a thing, but no idea where.

Why not use a paper trimmer? With a little experimenting and patience you can figure the alignment process. The thing about typing your verbiage, is you own it, font, color, shape and size.

If I want that look, I type the journaling on my electric typewriter and double-space between the lines- then I cut the lines into strips with my 6-inch guillotine cutter. Is it totally even? no... but it's better than my inability to cut a straight line with scissors, lol.

If you have MS Word you can make all kinds of shapes. When it comes to cutting you can deco the edges with punches.

Photoplay has a set of dies for cutting word strips that came out with a Halloween stamp set a year or two ago. The dies are in a variety of sizes but I think were sized to go with the sentiments on the set. I also have this tool from Spellbinders that is supposed to be used for cutting deco foil sheets, but I use it for word and paper strips more than I use it for foil: Spellbinders Quick Trimmer Tool

ALiexpress. I have gotten two sets of several sizes on there Do you have a link? I had no idea I needed these 😁 I got these two sets:
First one is several similarly sized strips fused together, the second is individual strips, both have multiple sizes. One of the more annoying things to try and search for because there isn't a consistent search term. I know I've seen others too. Which ones did you get, caangel ?

I agree - this is a die to buy on Ali Express because I don't feel that thin strips is anybody's art or unique idea! You'll save SO much money.
Also: I have the "fused" style as linked above. I haven't found them as useful as I'd hoped. You can't journal first and then line it up to cut it out after. You have to cut them out and journal on them. they do have a more "finished" edge as versus trimmer cut paper, but I usually can't be bothered to dig out the die. I think I may buy a set of the unlinked strips.
