I feel like I'm in crazy town. Between what came out of the January 6 Committee hearings and what is going on with the current election, I can't believe this is the USA. Mehdi Hasan Democracy on the Ballot

I'm so nervous for today I can't watch the news.
Praying hard for a blue wave.

I'm so nervous for today I can't watch the news. Praying hard for a blue wave. Me too. I know I will end up watching the news because knowing is better than not knowing. But I did tell my husband we are having ice cream for dinner. I will not be able to cook or concentrate. I voted and checked in with everyone else I know to make sure they did too. (We are vote by mail only here).

Unfortunately not enough understand it’s not only our right to vote but responsibility or duty as I have said in the past.

First final tallies. Can't remember the name of town, but they are allowed to release the final count after every eligible BB other has voted.
Gov.. Sununu 4 votes Dem opponent 1 vote.
Senate .. Maggie Hassan 5 votes. Buldoc ZERO votes!!
MSNBC and guests saying that is a good estimator ...

Me and my daughter dropped off our ballots today at a drop box and I was pleasantly surprised not to see any masked men in a pickup truck. We're not a swing state, but red. We went to a local coffee place and had lunch. It was a treat for doing my job even though I am not hopeful for my state. I voted for the Independent because a Democrat is not running for U.S. senate. The Republican tried to overthrow the U.S. election. He will probably win.

That’s what I’m afraid of but I also know that the real results won’t all be in tonight. Then the inevitable recounts and such. I’m glad that California can count mail in and early drop off ballots early. I wish other states would legalize it as well. It just makes more sense.

Did my part. Blue to protect democracy, social security, Medicare, privacy, our rights. GOP has no plan to govern.
My Trumpy neighbor with his FJB signs and Trump 2024 flag has vowed to shoot off his guns in celebration of the red wave he's sure is coming. He waved his gun at the bear that came down our street recently, in town. So trashy.

If this poll is true then these voters are clueless. There are things the government has very little control over like inflation especially when it’s worldwide. As far Republicans fixing the economy just how are they going to do it exactly? Oh yes they are going to make the trump tax cuts for the rich and corporations permanent and cancel the small increase in taxes on the rich in the BBB Bill.
Just exactly how is that going to help the average American pay the bills? .

Oh yes they are going to make the trump tax cuts for the rich and corporations permanent and cancel the small increase in taxes on the rich in the BBB Bill. Just exactly how is that going to help the average American pay the bills? . And there is no reasoning with them. What will they do when SS and Medicare is stripped who is going to support those that won’t be able to pay for food snd medicine and their homes. . Homelessness is another big one here snd they seem to think that Rs will fix it as police will be able to do their job. 🤦♀️ So the solution is to put mentally ill people in jail? Same with drug addicts? Crazy we have overflowing jails now. Silence to that. The other options are harshly criticized as well but they will fix it. 🤦♀️ I’m worried about SS and Medicare being stripped. Increased drug costs. Abortion and contraceptives, gay marriage, unemployment, bringing back manufacturing jobs (chips), infrastructure and so many other things. inflation is important but it’s not like the president can just wave a magic wand especially since it’s a global problem and our rate of inflation is on the lower end for the most part but it’s always the economy. I haven’t paid much attention to the stock market but looking at it over the years it’s much higher now than the end of 2020 even though it’s been dipping. But let’s make sure the ultra rich get their tax cuts.

I was just listening to todays episode of The Daily podcast. It was about how democracy is literally on the ballot in Wisconsin. It is maddening and scary all at the same time.

Tim Michels has said if he wins he will make sure a democrat can never win again in Wisconsin. I just cannot believe what is happening...

Why, why does anybody believe anything TFG says? He's been a liar and a cheat his entire life, and that's not a secret. Oh, but I guess if he's YOUR liar, that makes it okay? I wish he'd crawl off into a hole and face the obscurity that he so richly deserves.

I know it's not finalized yet, but I'm currently very encouraged by the numbers in pennsylvania! Huge huge huge leads for the Democratic candidates over the Republican candidates for Senate and governor!
Fetterman has 82% of the votes for senate vs. 15% for Oz.
Shapiro has 86 % of the votes for governor vs. 11% for Mastriano.
