Good morning.
It's a rainy day and we sure do need it. I was up for a bit at 3am listening to the storm. I love doing that. Today is a good day for puzzles. First of all, I have to wait for a dry spell and go drop my ballot. Dinner was teriyaki chicken, rice and salad last night and I might push for rechauffe tonight.
What's on your menu?
Wishing our friend, psiluvu a very Happy Birthday! May your day be filled w/celebration, good wishes and may your year contain lots of happy moments.
leannec , how are you doing in the new condo?
Montannie , how are you doing today? I'm thinking of you and sending prayers your way.
It's JG's first day of wintering and I wish her a productive season of healing and growth.
What are you up to today?
Wishing my lovelies a very gentle, easy day!

I had a terrible bout of vertigo last night. When I turned on my left side my world started turning and I got nauseous. It happened twice so I slept the rest of the night on my right side. It's happened before but never this bad. (I know I need to do that procedure off the side of my bed.) We are headed to a movie this afternoon since DH's golf game was cancelled due to the storm. We're going to see the rom/com with Julia Roberts and George Clooney. Dinner will be Chicken Tortilla Soup. Happy Birthday psiluvu

Happy Tuesday everyone. I ended up not getting home until nearly 10pm last night - we had so many books to organise and get ready for the sale this coming Friday and Saturday. I just missed one bus, which meant a nearly 15 minute wait for the next one, then a 10 minute walk home at the end of it. I did sleep well once I got to bed!
Today has been a quieter day. I did a grocery run and now should have food until Friday and I believe we are going out then, as I will be selling books until 6:30 or 7pm. I am now waiting on a delivery - it is after 5 and getting dark, so I hope it’s here soon. I have been filling my time knitting a little cardigan for my nephew’s baby, due in January.
Dinner tonight is stuffed peppers. I saw them at the supermarket ready mad, just need to be cooked, so I thought they would make a quick and easy meal.

cadoodlebug, you're talking about an Epley Maneuver. Dh gets vertigo now and then and Epley fixes it in the moment. I'm sorry that you have to deal w/it. sueg, you're surrounded by babies. How very sweet.

Happy Tuesday! We are getting some GOOD rain here in So Cal too. It's lovely!
Last night was chicken adobo (thighs) steamed jasmine rice and sautéed green beans. There are leftovers for DH's lunch today.
I've got a spaghetti squash in the Ninja at the moment. I'll make myself a healthy spaghetti dinner with it, with marinara. I may add turkey meatballs to it.
For DH and DD I'm going to make a sort of "cheater" weeknight chile verde. I'll dice and fry up some pork chops then simmer in some Herdez salsa verde and some Mexican rice on the side.

sueg, you're surrounded by babies. How very sweet. Yes - my dad will have 4 great-granddaughters under the age of 4 by the end of January! And Sophia and Lucia also have another little girl cousin on their mum's side, and another baby cousin (sex unknown) coming in March.

I have been so busy sewing ~~ piecing and quilting tablerunners for the Holiday season. Most of them are Snowman related, so they can be used past the Christmas season.
Dinner will be stir-fry roast beef (pre-cooked, vac packed) with mushroom, pepper & onion stirfry, served over rice.
Beautiful day, a bit cooler outside.

cadoodlebug vertigo is the worst. I hope Epley takes care of it. Happy Birthday psiluvu. Hope it’s a good day. Waiting for Uber to take us to the airport for Italy. I tried hard to pack light but the weather is up & down and I hate being cold. Dinner will be something in the Atlanta airport.

teddyw - enjoy your trip. I love Italy - we've been so many times, just living a few hours away, and every city has its own special charm. Wherever you go, look for local food specialties and wines. There is something wonderful about sipping a wine that was grown 'just over that rise there'

leannec , how are you doing in the new condo? I'm doing well but the unpacking is slow going ... so many boxes and Rubbermaid bins to deal with! I need to clear a space in my living room by Saturday morning though because my new sofa and chair (and chest of drawers) are getting delivered! I'm at work today but I've caught some sort of bug ... I feel like crap ... I'm taking the next two days off to recover ... I'll take a Covid test when I get home ... Friday is Remembrance Day so I would have had that off anyway ... Dinner tonight will be something I order because I don't feel well enough to cook.

It's pouring rain here, too. Very gray and dreary and I don't have to go anywhere, so won't. I've been alternating between crafting and snuggling under a blanket with the pup reading while waiting for crafty things to dry. Dinner tonight will be leftover lasagne and/or fish tacos. I did something different with the lasagne, adding a layer of thick raw zucchini strips over the meat sauce and it was a hit.

Just getting home from having lunch with a good friend. Her dad was pretty sick a few weeks ago but he seems to have turned a corner. Her stepfather has Alzheimer’s and is not doing well so it was nice to see her. Probably won’t eat anything for dinner maybe a protein shake. It’s another beautiful day here although it’s 48° but the sun is shining

Raked a few leaves today but just to get them away from the house and hedge so DH could mulch them with the lawnmower.
DH was crafty today and made me a wooden poppy to put outside.
According to the forecast, we have a couple more nice days before the temps turn cold. We are planning a bike ride tomorrow and it might be the last one if it gets cold.
Supper was teriyaki chicken over rice.

They will be gifts or donated to the local Wellspring Cancer Care Center for them to sell in their gift shop. This place is providing me with my after surgery care~~ exercise and help with mental health.

Just a quick note to say I'll be traveling again tomorrow through Sunday (visiting my Dad out of state) and so I'll probably be MIA for a few days. It'll be busy there, as DD, her DH and DGD will also be visiting while I'm there. My Dad will be meeting his great granddaughter for the first time (she's 5 months old). Can't wait!!
We're having rechauffe for dinner because I'm packing!
