Has anyone used their PM 400 to print on thin or medium card stock? Just wondering if it was successful or if I should be using matte photo paper to print journal cards.

Yes, just cut your cardstock down to 4x6 or 5x7. I've even used the blank side of 4x6 journaling cards that I have no need for.

I’ve done it. Depending on the card stock, the kind I have used, it looks “soft” and almost…blurry?? That might be the word I’m looking for. I’ve only fairly recently purchased some smooth card stock, I’m wondering if that would look better.
The ink really gets a absorbed more into the open fibers of card stock. It’s a different look than what the results from using specialty photo paper.

Yep! I've printed on cardstock, journal cards, and vellum. Cut it to size and let it dry really well before doing anything with it.

Yep, I do it all the time--for both plain cardstock and journal cards from monthly kits. 4x6 journal cards are pretty straightforward, but I also print frequently on 3x4. I create a 4x6 document but put everything on the left side, then run the card through on its side. The printer doesn't notice. It will also support photo paper from other brands. Red River Paper's 60-pound polar matte photo paper has a cardstock feel, but it takes ink super well. I use it for printing journal cards with digital files.

I have a whole package of 8 1/2 x 11 matte photo paper that I don't use. I think I'll cut it down and try it out for journaling and/or customized embellishments. Thanks for the idea!

Yes, I actually print my photos on matte card stock photo paper. It really comes out nicely.

My PictureMate 400 has a setting for plain paper which is what I use when printing on plain cardstock. I also create documents in word that are 4 x 6 and print from there as well.
