Does anyone have one they like? I'd really like love to find one similar to the Lens app my sister has on her android--it ids virtually anything you scan. TIA

I'm also android but I believe that iphones have a similar built in function. Hopefully someone here can share more info.
Specifically for plants I sometimes use the PlantNet app. It is free.

I had been using "Seek" for the iPhone. I quit using it when I was a a friend's home and it kept telling me the plants didn't exist and I was standing in front of them. My friend recommended "Picture This". It's great. Yes I paid something for it. It tells me how to care for the plant. It tells me if it is sick or not besides where it came from.

I have seen this one. I was going to get it, but it said it was $30 a year. I can see it being that price for a lifetime, but I am not sure about per year.

I also use Picture This. It was free at first and I really liked it so I went ahead and purchased. Can't remember how much.

I use the built in one on my iPhone. Take a picture. Open in the Apple Photo's app. Click on the 'i' that has a circle/stars around it. It will give you the choice to "Look Up" and it usually defaults to plant when it is a plant/flower picture. Free - already there.

It only provides info like when pic taken and uploaded and by whom.

I just use Lens with the Google app. I open the app and click on the camera icon in the search bar to open up Google Lens. It opens up a viewer thing, take a pic of the plant, animal or whatever you want to search and the results pop right up.

It was launched with iOS 15 last year, so if you're on an older phone that doesn't support 15, or you just don't update iOS often, that could be way.

I have an iPhone X, and my updates are up to date, currently set to update tonight to 16.1.1. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place? Oh well, I'll ask one of my kids or GKs when I see them next, 'cause it all seems so easy for them -lol. Thanks for the help, ladies:)

I use Picture This. There is a free version. I use it a lot! For gardening, tending my yard and flower gardens (is this a weed or not), and while hiking.
It also will tell you how to fix probs with houseplants.
