Do you ask/hope for crafty things for Christmas? What's on your list this year?
I have a Scrapbook.com wish list I am sending my DH that includes: -Pinkfresh ink cubes (the sets I am missing) -An Echo Park paper collection I think I need for a SeaWorld trip we did years ago -Distress Grit Paste & Nuvo Glitter Paste -Various stamps/stencils and embossing folders -The new Lumberjack Plaid Distress ink
What are you asking/hoping for??

I am hoping to get a new craft desk! My current one was reinforced by my husband earlier in the year to take care of the wobbling, but the drawer glides are bent and the table top is damaged from cutting things and adhesives.

I am *thinking* of asking for a glimmer foil system. However: DH broke my big shot last year (too strong!) so they'd also have to get me a new crank machine (I'd ask for the platinum 6). I would only use this for foiling really since I adore my gemini jr. However, they've stopped producing the gemini foil system due to problems with it, so I can't foil with my gemini And, of course, then there is the investment in foil, and plates! I'm really not sure it's worth the huge investment.

I was going to ask for blending brushes on my list but couldn’t wait any longer and bought them myself a couple weeks ago…oops! I’m going to watch this thread for some ideas. Like kitbop I like the idea of hot foiling but in reality I’m not sure I’d use it that much.

I do a lot of cardmaking and the results are so pretty! I have the full size Gemini so I have the larger foiling platform for it as well. I think I need to buy an extra platform since they are discontinuing it....just in case!

Toying with the idea of a silhouette. I had a cameo circa 2013 ish and found the computer bit so frustrating that I barely used it, and then sold it in 2015. So, I’m hesitant. I’d like the ability to cut, but not the hassle!

I need a new MacBook so I can actually see the true colours of my photos and digital kits, but that's about $2000 over our limit, so it won't be happening! 😫

I'm asking for a Sizzix Big Shot Switch. Or maybe I'll buy it for myself with my year-end bonus. We'll see.

I gave my stepmom my Platinum 6 so no foiling plates for me. Guess it’s back to the drawing board!

All of which I've already bought for myself, and should be delivered sometime in December. Yeah...you kinda sorta enabled an order of my own... But Has anyone every "asked" for something for Christmas that they actually "needed" (like replacement gemini plates, or a bar magnet for my stamp positioner) and then didn't have it given to them? And then gone out the week after Christmas and got it for themselves because it was truly more of a necessity than family understood?

And that is why people usually give me a gift card for scrappy goodness now.

I think I really need to take stock of what I own and decide what's working. I am thinking one or two card dies. I don't make them often, but something like this or this.
I like some of the slimline dies and stamps that would work for making journal cards.
I'm waiting for my old manual and electronic die cut machines to die before I get a new one. I am intrigued by the scan and cut. That may be too big of a purchase right now.
A basic item I should add to the list is more double sided tape. There aren't any paper lines that are screaming MUST BUY right now.

We discuss what we want, what we bought, and decide if we are in agreement that works with our budget. I guess I should order from Ali so it comes to me in time. Who am I kidding, if it gets here before December I'll use them!
I truly detest wrapping presents, so we don't even bother with that!

I think I really need to take stock of what I own and decide what's working. I am thinking one or two card dies. I don't make them often, but something like this or this. I look at these type of mixed frame sets pretty often, but I never end up buying them. Instead I try to find nested sets of whatever shape I wanted. The total upfront cost might be a bit more, but it means not having a weird mishmash of a single rounded rectangle, a single stitched rectangle, a single postage edged rectangle, a single tag, a single banner, etc. If you only work in one card size that might be okay, but I rarely do things in the 'standard' sizes.
Have to agree on gifts - I'd rather buy my own stuff and know 100% it is wanted and will be used than leave it up to someone else to try and figure out what would be the "perfect" gift. That almost never works out in my experience.

Based on threads here I have put a Portrait 3 on my list so if it goes on sale at all let me know!
Also my hermafix dotto adhesive. I have to have my stocking filled with it.

I'm trying to decide if I want to make room for a heat press.
I could probably but not sure how much I would actually use it. And I don't want that big of a paper weight. 😜

My room is being renovated (wooohoo!) so I'd like a heat press since I've designed a cabinet/area for it already LOL!
Otherwise my birthday was last week so I got most things on my list. I need some items to add to my list!!

Yes - but usually my family will go ahead & get them for me even though they don't understand why I'd have that item on my list! I actually have replacement plates on my list this year! Last year I asked for a package of letter size white craft foam and 4" wide double sided tape so I could make large size foam panels that would be ready when I make cards. My brother got both for me & I was so happy! One year he also got me the giant roll of scotch foam tape & I loved that as well.

An Epson Picturemate 400! This is on my list too! I've been wanting it for a while and DH said "when and where should Santa buy it?" LOL He knows I usually find good Black Friday deals. I don't know the usual price for the EP 400. It is $269 on Epson site. $224.99 on Amazon (regularly 269.99). Do the peas know if I should wait for a Black Friday deal or December Christmas deal to get it on sale cheaper? Is 224.00 a good price? Thank you for any sales info!!!

I gave up asking for crafty things for Christmas. I just pull an amount every month to spend on what I want in the crafty department.
One year I asked for an iPad and my husband ordered it. When it came, he put it in the pile of stuff for me to wrap. I taped a $100 bill to the box and when I opened it, my husband's eyes bugged out. I said that he was very thoughtful to have given me the iPad and cash. He no longer lets me wrap my own gifts.

A Cameo 4. I’m scouring ads for Black Friday for a good deal. My 3 still works but it’s time to upgrade.
