I am putting together a fall album that will have "fall" types of things in it, but also things we did during the months of October/November that were important. For example we went to an NFL game and I was going to have a page about the Phillies making it to the World Series. I wanted to stay with the same color scheme throughout the whole book, but some of the above activities mentioned really don't fit into that.
I am using a Citrus Twist 6x8 album. Should I not worry about the colors and treat those "off" pages as if they were pages in a regular scrapbook album where every page is different?
I am open to any suggestions or ideas. Thanks.

An idea from Shimelle to pull together an album- 1 repeating color, and 1 repeating element/theme.
Instead of having an entire color scheme for the album pick 1 color that you use as the background or as the main color in pockets. This would allow you to have some consistency throughout but not matchy matchy.
Then pick an icon to repeat such as leaves that show up on every page. Doesn't have to be the same exact image; could be a sticker, die cut, stamp, pattern paper, etc.
I would have a hard time sticking with one color scheme for an entire album. My brain wants variety!

Well my base pages will all be in white. I have a fall paper line I like with reds, greens, blue, and golden yellow. I thought about using those colors throughout. Not sure I want leaves on every page, but I am sure a lot of the pages will have them. I thought about making the football page more subtle with a light beige that would be more neutral on the white and their uniforms are green and black, so I think I could make that work. But the Phillies are bright red and blue. Maybe I will skip that page since I really am not a baseball fan, but felt I had to watch the World Series.

When you go back and look at your album 5 years form now, will it bother you if all of the pages aren't color coordinated? If not, just get going and enjoy using whatever you want. If it will, I'd go with one common color and repeating element.

Great idea about the black and white.
About looking back 5 years from now...I am not sure. I am very new to making themed albums. I made a travelers notebook but it was basically about 3 plain colors and embellishments with my pictures. I think maybe I am making too big of a deal about this. I am very uptight and want everything perfect - ha!

Sounds like a neat album idea, I probably would not sweat the color scheme too much. You said you are using a line with red/blue (I guess more fall/muted tones?) so maybe it will work?
I love that you are a Philly fan, not too many of them around these parts.
I was going to suggest b&w or even just turning down the color of the photo by graying it out a bit or reducing saturation. Phillies also have the off-white and white pin-stripe uniforms, maybe find a photo that works with that? Honestly, for the merch money grab, they have hats/logos in all colors now. Maybe take a look on the shop site, they sell versions for cancer awareness and veteran's day type stuff to, so may be able to find the logo in a different color. Although the Red October is a theme in my documenting!
I have yet to use the Citrus Twist album.

I am so bad about knowing how to quote on this site.
I love Citrus Twist albums. They come is all sorts of beautiful colors. The one picture I have of the Phillies is Bryce Harper from my tv - ha! I am not much of a baseball fan and only watched the game because I live in Philly. But I am a huge Eagles fan and can't wait for the game tonight. I think I am just not going to sweat the colors and treat this like the chronological albums I used to do for my kids.
