7:15 pm (MST) and I'm under a blanket on the couch watching the Crown with DH. Two dogs asleep near me and two teenagers hanging out upstairs.

3:15pm on Monday here, lovely spring day. Except for the noisy blackbirds in the jacaranda tree, everything is very quiet and peaceful.
DH is having a snooze (we’re retired and we went to Stretch & Balance this morning, then he went to the Bloke’s Shed to work on his project, then went for a swim). I’ve been enjoying the peace, working on my embroidery and knitting.

It's 8:20 pm CST. 45 degrees F. No tv, radio, conversation, or birds. It smells good though - I'm cooking Pasta Fagole soup and garlic bread.

I'm watching Michelle Obama: the light we carry special with Robin Roberts. I'm thinking that would be a great book to read and possibly a Christmas gift for my sister.

I'm sitting in a blackened room, listening to a video play from my DS's room. Waiting for my dog to let me know she wants back inside. I just ate the entire bag of pepperidge farm cookies. In my defense, they only put like 8 of them in the bag & the portion has shrunk.

It’s 10:09 pm. I just came to bed after waking up on the couch. I had all the kids over for dinner and the premiere of Yellowstone. Everyone left by 8 PM and I quickly cleaned up and almost as soon as I sat down, my eyes were closed. My youngest headed to her room to do some school work as quickly as everybody left and hasn’t been seen or heard since. The house is silent in the dark. Of course, now that I came to bed I can’t sleep anymore! I just asked Alexa what the temperature is outside and it’s 41°. It was a perfect fall day, and a perfect family evening!

It’s 3:19 am. I got up to use the bathroom. It’s silent. I shouldn’t have picked up my phone but I have a bad habit of checking it when I wake up. I’m going to sleep for a few more hours since I have the day off. I went away for the weekend and enjoyed every minute of my time away.

It's 1:23am on my kindle as it didn't adjust my time when I flew to England. (It's 9:23am where I actually am) It's beautifully sunny and that is what woke me this morning. I can hear a lot of birds, which surprises me a bit as I'm quite far north and it's mid Nov.
However what is standing out this morning is that we checked in really late, and didn't notice until this morning that there are no towels. When we inquired we were told they don't provide towels. We are here for a week! We are very remote. This is the last place we visited before covid, and they definitely provided towels then. I can't imagine we were expected to travel from America with towels in order to bathe. Hmm. A few minutes later some very charming ladies showed up with towels telling me they overheard the conversation and went and dug some up. They also brought us extra toilet paper as they assumed we hadn't travelled with that either and we are quite far from a store. They are our heroes!

I feel as if I'm flying around the world for a brief 5-second glimpse into your lives. Thank you. It's 09:59 and I'm sitting alone in the quiet of my lounge looking out at a mild, damp, grey day. There's a bright red-rust tree between me and the water, surrounded by the greens, oranges and yellows of the turning leaves, and a robin is perched in the top of the hedge, telling the world all about it. I can just hear the workmen who are renovating the house next door.

In my part of Australia, it's 9.45pm on the 14th. I'm watching a repeat of The Walking Dead Special on Foxtel, and drinking a strawberry milkshake (I make the with strawberries in them). I've just taken the dog out for her nightly pre bedtime potty run, and have the fan going full pelt (a rather warm spring night here).

I've been told there are several episodes from this podcast that deal with breaking up, particularly the second episode. Amelia Liana podcastIt's 11.35pm Monday night in Sydney, Australia Nothing playing or watching Having a chat with my BFF via messenger No birds outside because it's too late. The fruit bats (technically flying foxes) have been around though I had surgery three weeks ago to put more hardware in my foot, so I'm waiting for the pain meds to kick in

5:23 am. It’s 36 degrees outside. It’s dark and quiet except the sound of my dogs breathing as they are sleeping in my bed with me. I’m awake but won’t get up for a while - I start work at 7am but I work from home. Will just look at my phone awhile, maybe sleep for a few more minutes and then get up and get ready for my day.

It's 8:30 am. It's 27 degrees outside and I've been up since 7 due to some fox outside making this awful noise and getting my dog to bark. Right now the only sound is some F-ing woodpecker trying to peck a hole in our cedar siding. The joy of living in the country.
