This on top of the new discussion that Russia withheld stating/reporting their actions in Kherson until after our elections deliberately.

Well, if NATO is going to mean anything, we must back Poland and what they decide to do. Otherwise NATO is meaningless no matter who is President

Given how much talk lately about "Ukraine fatigue" leading to wavering support in the West, this is one heck of a way to put that conversation to rest. The opposite of what Russia would like to happen. However, accident (likely) or testing boundaries, Poland has the right to respond as aggressively as they choose. I don't think they will go straight to Article 5, but will expect Russia to take responsibility and make some sort of concession.
One thing for sure is that many more planes filled with Western military goodies will be heading to Eastern Europe NATO countries. It also probably removes the restraints on some of the things the US / and other NATO countries didn't want to send to Ukraine because it would be viewed as escalation. Now it's an "appropriate response and defensive move."

There are now tweets referring to the possibility that the Russian missile was fired at a Ukrainian target, that was intercepted by Ukrainian defenses. It is the debris that landed in Poland, and not an intentional strike (unlikely), or an errant missile with a malfunctioning guidance system. This will allow everyone to go back to their corners. Except it still dents the war fatigue narrative.

www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/11/15/russia-ukraine-war-g20-latest-updates/President Biden said it’s “unlikely” that a Russian-made missile that killed two people in a Polish village on Tuesday was fired from Russia, though he cautioned that the data was preliminary.

"I don't want to say that until we completely investigate it. But it is unlikely ... that it was fired from Russia," Biden said, citing the "trajectory.""But we'll see," he said.Biden had earlier called Polish President Andrzej Duda and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. In his call with Duda, the White House said he reaffirmed the U.S. "ironclad commitment to NATO."Biden said he briefed leaders on the calls, and they agreed to support Poland in its investigation. "I'm going to make sure we figure out exactly what happened," he said.He also condemned the attacks on Ukraine, calling them "totally unconscionable," and said the United States would do whatever it takes to support Ukraine.www.nytimes.com/live/2022/11/14/world/russia-ukraine-war-news-g20The explosion’s proximity to the border raised the possibility it that it was the result of an errant missile or the remains of one that had been shot down by Ukraine’s air defense systems. The Ukrainian air force said 70 incoming Russian missiles had been shot down on Tuesday. A fragment of one destroyed missile struck a residential building in Kyiv, killing one person.
BALI, Indonesia — President Biden pledged support for a full investigation of the explosion that killed two people in Poland on Wednesday, but suggested to reporters that the missile that detonated probably had not been fired from Russia.
It was unclear from the president’s remarks whether he meant the missile was not likely to have been fired from inside Russia’s territorial borders, or not likely to have been fired by Russian forces in Ukraine or elsewhere.
Asked by a reporter whether the missile “was fired from Russia,” Mr. Biden replied, “There is preliminary information that contests that.”
“I don’t want to say that until we completely investigate,” he said. But “the trajectory” of the missile made it unlikely “that it was fired from Russia,” he added.
The president went on to criticize Russia’s latest round of missile attacks on Ukraine, which disrupted power supplies for millions of Ukrainians on Tuesday in one of the broadest aerial attacks since Moscow’s forces invaded in February.
“They’ve been totally unconscionable, what they’re doing. Totally unconscionable,” Mr. Biden said. “At the moment when the world came together at the G20 to urge de-escalation, Russia has chosen to escalate in Ukraine, while we’re meeting.”

Oh right the missile that fell on Polish territory. Former in his speech stated that it landed 50 miles into Poland, which in fact was about 4 meters in..

So if the missile didn't come from Russia, say if it came from Ukraine (who else would it come from?)- would that still be an act of aggression on Poland? They aren't part of NATO... I jsut answered my own question, they are saying it was from Ukraine, but that Russia is the ultimate reason for missiles firing in the first place, so therefore, they are responsible. www.npr.org/2022/11/16/1137085278/polands-president-says-the-missile-strike-appears-to-be-from-ukraine

The missile was from Ukraine. Apparently it was trying to hit a Russian missile, missed and ended up in Poland.
With missiles flying around I’m surprised this hadn’t happen before.

There is no way the Ukraine will attack us intentionally, but I have no doubt that they would love for an accidental missile from Russia to hit us. They have wanted NATO to get involved from the start.
