I learned today that you don't need a minc machine to foil stuff.
We have a laminator.
I have added some hot foil gel to my cart and I want to buy some transfer foil as well.
The ranger brand and a couple that I saw online at michaels (recollections and cricut) say No heat needed.
Is that still the product I need to buy or do I need to buy something else?
Thanks. Learning new things without a LSS is hard.

I use Thermoweb Deco Foil with a laminator (Scotch brand). You can foil items that have been printed on toner sheets (purchased) or printed on a laser printer. You can also use the iCraft Transfer Gel Duo (my personal favorite way to foil) with the same Thermoweb Deco Foil. When using the gel, you can use it with or without heat. To use without heat you can use a die cut machine. So I spread the gel over a stencil, let it dry for an hour or so, put the foil on top, then run it through my die cut machine. You can also use the Ranger brand you linked or the Recollections brand you linked by using double-sided tape (like scor-tape), sticky embossing powder or anything that's sticky (think alcohol inks that haven't dried yet). Just put your sticky medium on your paper, then place the foil over it and rub it, then remove the foil sheet. I have not used the Spellbinders Hot Foiling machine or the Cricut product you linked. ETA: Here is a link to GinaK's YT channel for foiling. link

I don't know if those will work with a laminator...I really truly don't know! With the "decofoil transfer gel" that I bought, I can add foil 1) just by using pressure from my die cut machine or 2) by sending it through the laminator. The laminator gives better results. But all my foil is the REACTIVE type - either from Heidi Swapp for the Minc, or from DecoFoil itself. These ones: reactive foilsThe reactive foil is also the stuff that will work in the laminator with toner images.

Thank you both!
I will make sure just to buy the reactor kind so I know it will work.
I want to try both using toner as I have a laser printer at work. And my husband has a laminator for his business.
I buy most of my stuff from ACOT so I appreciate the link and will just get it there.
This was helpful!!!

To the above info, I can add that the Cricut transfer foil is pressure sensitive, not heat reactive. There is no heat used with the Cricut foiling tool, although heat is used with the Quill foil tool that isn't made by Cricut but can be used with it.
