Hello!
Does anyone have experience with Scrapbook.com Black Friday? What kinds of sales do they typically have? I’m looking at my cart and wondering if I should wait til Friday!

Hopefully it is better than the sale going on now. .50-$2 off isn't a sale lol

Has anyone ever seen a site wide sale at SB.com for more than 10% off? I think 10% is the highest I’ve ever seen, at least in recent years.
I know they frequently have random percent discounts within a category, with most discounts being not very good, unfortunately. The exception is their own branded products. They discount those a decent amount and frequently.

I don't recall ever seeing a site wide sale of more than 10%.

10% is the best discount I’ve seen. I usually find the free shipping promos the best savings.

I can't remember if they did free shipping during Black Friday in the past or not. I'm hoping they will since I need to grab a couple of albums for next year.

Sometimes they have big discounts for certain categories, not for everything. Often they give away free items too, sometimes good ones. I think the best way to stay on top of it is to join their email list.

I wait until they have free shipping on $75+ (used to be $70), because it's a better deal the 5% off.

Beware of the "free items" adding to your shipping cost. Last time I ordered they were giving away a paper pad which wasn't my taste, but I was thinking hey it's free I can always find a use for it. But when I added it to my cart the shipping cost went up so it wasn't worth taking the freebie when it wasn't my style to begin with. But besides that I love them, they have a wide product selection and dependable shipping.

But besides that I love them, they have a wide product selection and dependable shipping. They generally/always offer a free copy of SCT magazine and that adds a good deal of weight so I check shipping with and without it in my cart. To find it or occasionally other free items search on “free with purchase” or similar.

I agree, I don't think I've ever had a discount bigger than 10%, *maybe* 15% one year, but it seems like they've replaced that with freebies. The freebies can be good. Right now it's Simon Hurley lunar paste and I'd like one but I'm sitting on my hands

In total agreement that the free shipping is probably the best "sale". And I do like to get a copy of the sb magazine that they offer occasionally, even if it does add to the shipping cost. I just placed an order with them and the free item was a sb.com tape runner; however I did have to pay shipping on my order but needed a couple of items for a Christmas project so I went on and ordered. Maybe they will have a great Black Friday sale - hope you find some good deals justcindy.

Their emails advertise their bigger sales. Just a few they had today/yesterday that are still going on:
Mint tape 2.99 from 5.00 3 rolls Mint tape 8.99 from 15.00 Metallic rose gold ink plus re-inker 9.49 from 13.00 2 pack Magic Mats 18.99 from 40.00 Ink pad storage unit 19.99 from 33.50
Nothing I need/want but there are more, paper packs, storage, etc. Another 5% off with code PREBLACKFRIDAY
2 free gifts until they run out: gold Lunar Paste and peppermint alpha stickers. The SCT magazine is free though usually increases shipping.
I get the free gifts if they don’t add shipping cost or much shipping even if I don’t want them (as is the case with those) since I can donate them.
Last year I got the hot foil system for Gemini Jr. for more than 50% off with their discount and one they let me add.

I ordered some of their Scrapbook.com branded storage. I really like them and there a few pieces that I wanted. The discount on those items was decent so I figured I would take the plunge. It helps to offset expensive shipping to Canada. On the bright side, I should have my small space well set up once I receive these.
I got both the Lunar Paste and the alpha stickers because it didn't add to my shipping. At least those will be some nice bonuses.

In November I don't buy anything until Black Friday (unless it's one of the weekly 50% off sales). I save my money for the Black Friday sales. Digital scrapbooking stores have wonderful sales, definitely worth the wait.

They are marketing more aggressively this year, or at least I'm getting a couple of offer emails every day from them every day. Right now they have an extra 5% off "pre Black Friday" offer so I would expect that their offer on the day should be somewhat better than that but I don't recall them discounting very heavily unless it's off their own brand of products.

I’ve purchased other discounted brands. One was the hot foil system for the Gemini Jr. About 50% off but only for a short time, and I was allowed to use an SCT discount on top of the sale price—I think that added 10% more. Woodware was another. I think companies that carry many brands like scrapbook.com and SSS have agreements with companies about how much they’re allowed to discount and when. A while back a brand was discounted on scrapbook.com, SSS and somewhere else (can’t remember) at the same time. But you’re right that their own brand is usually the one with the deep discounts. Some sales occur so frequently that if you wait a bit, you never have to pay the so-called regular price.

Digital scrapbooking stores have wonderful sales, definitely worth the wait. I recently got PhotosShop back on my laptop and I don't remember the basics at all. Any suggestions for good tutorials? Also, what sites do you like to buy from? I've done digital pages in the past and have done some hybrid scrapping too.
I'd like to buy some elements that have a 'sticker' look that I can print and cut. Beyond that, I'm not sure

I buy mainly from The Lilypad, The Digital Press, and Katie Pertiet Designs. Traci Reed is my new favourite. She sells from her own site and also Sweet Shoppe Designs. It took a very long time (in my opinion) for digital designers to add sticker-like elements to their collections. When I first started, most things were 'dimensional' looking. Some of my favourite designers who include 'stickers' are: Bessa BonnevilleTraci ReedHumble & CreateAJA Fillmore CreationsDunia Designs also does printables. I have several other favourite designers, the ones above are the ones who spring to mind when I want stickers. As for tutorials, I'm not really sure. My aunty taught me the basics (eg. how layers work etc) many years ago, and I went from there. These days I will watch a tutorial if I need to learn how to use a particular style or action, or a new technique. I'm happy to help if you have specific questions. We could do an on-line lesson!

30% off scrapbook.com product Code pie22. Valid until 24Nov. Free gift w orders over $100 Is there a different gift with orders over $100? The Lunar Paste, alpha stickers and SCT magazine are free add-ons, no dollar requirement. Btw, Spellbinder's Platinum 6 and Platinum 6 bundles, one with Glimmer hot foil machine, are discounted quite a bit.

scrapbook.com is still honoring 10% off everything with the code BLACKFRIDAY. Today is Sunday. Free gift of Border Etched Dies by Spellbinders, a little ephemera pack (sorry, forgot to see which it was), and the SCT magazine, though check shipping with it and without it because it can affect shipping costs.
Most of the time when I’ve purchased something I’ve gotten the free gift, but they can run out.

Hello! Does anyone have experience with Scrapbook.com Black Friday? What kinds of sales do they typically have? I’m looking at my cart and wondering if I should wait til Friday! Not black Friday, but today ten brands have 10-50% off and the free gift is a little Catherine Pooler stamp set with a reindeer head and ornaments hanging from his antlers.
