2. 😆. It is my year to work so I will not be going to my family’s for thanksgiving. A friend is cooking early and I will have dinner with him before I have to work. Typically at our extended family gather there is 25+

13 for dinner plus 3 more for pre-dinner
It is my side of the family mostly (my mom and dad, 3 brothers, 1 spouse, 3 nieces/nephews, 2 sons, 1 daughter, her spouse and son, and me and dh). Wow, so 4 generations.

Since we moved away from the Bay Area, it's just DH, DS and me. DS comes up for a week at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We used to rotate between DH's sister's house, her daughter's house and our house.

Eight. We usually have 10-11, but my father died and my oldest is staying on the east coast for the holiday (and my former nanny sometimes comes but isn't this year).

12 total I'm guessing 4 desserts is too many... ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) . Numbers can vary and our count would be 20.

We were supposed to be 14. My son has been coughing for a few days. No fever,Covid negative. I let everyone know. We’re down to 6- us 4 and MIL and her BF.. Everyone else (fully vaccinated and every booster known to man) was my family and they’re staying home. I’m so annoyed. We were planning to hang outside for the most part since it should be in the low 70’s.

just the 3 of us - me, dh, and DD16. My older kids are making their own meal in another state. My parents and parents-in-law have all passed. My two siblings live many states away and overseas. DH's 6 siblings? 4 have passed and we're estranged from the other two. We'll do a traditional meal - sitdown, tablecloth, good china...
We used to have the big 40-50 people gatherings when MIL was alive and hosted them. I tried to continue them a couple more years but nieces and nephews have moved away and are becoming grandparents themselves so doing their own thing.

We're hosting and will have 11. The dining table comfortably seats 10, so it'll be a bit squished, but I'm so happy to have everyone together!

5 in my family 5 for dh’s sister and her family 3 for dh’s best friend and his family 5 for a Ukrainian family that recently relocated here
I’m not quite sure where we will all sit. Probably a mix of dining table and living room.

Two. My maternal grandmother's family was the dominant family, being one of 11 siblings and seven sisters. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners could be 40. Summer reunions have been more than 100.

I’m over “being cautious”. My kid coughs most of September to March. He has this every year. It’s probably allergies since it’s seasonal and yearly. My house is big, everyone can hang outside on the covered porch and in the backyard. Her own kids passed some crud to my parents when they were together. Kinda hard to not take it personally when she doesn’t worry about sharing with others when her kids are sick.

Zero😞 We held my mom’s celebration of life on Sunday. Came home last night, my 2 oldest headed to their places in the city and would come over on Thanksgiving. DD tested positive for Covid today. DS and I both have fevers but are negative. Needless to say Thanksgiving is cancelled. I feel so crummy It really doesn’t bother me that much. At least we were all healthy on Sunday. That’s all that mattered. We used to be 15+, I dearly miss those days and the people who made them so special.

There are 9 of us. It's my immediate family plus my brother's immediate family.
My brother's son just got engaged tonight. My brother and SIL hosted an engagement party tonight for about 60 people or so. My SIL still insisted on hosting Thanksgiving tomorrow for our family. She's a rock star!

It will just three at our table and, to my surprise, they want the full turkey feast. I was sure they'd decide on roast lamb. DH will take care of the turkey and I'll do the rest. My plan is to make the same amount of stuffing I make to feed 10-12 so I can eat it all weekend.

We will have 7 or maybe 9. (We are 4, plus my dad, step mom, half sister and perhaps a friend or two of hers and my step mom's brother. We were having 16 people, but my poor sister's boys are all sick, so they are staying home. I am still cooking for an army, though. We had already bought and thawed food. LOL. (Brisket and turkey)
