Today there will be 2, me and dh.
Dd lives in the next town over and is moving tomorrow, so dh is going over there this afternoon to help take apart some furniture and fit it into our van. So he'll take some of our food to dd. Which means I need to get to cooking! lol. But we're not having turkey since none of us really like it. We're having cranberry-jalepeno meat balls that I found at Costco. Along with the usual sides, since we all think the sides are the best part of Thanksgiving dinner anyway.

We are having 38 today. We make two turkeys, the stuffing and corn bake. Everyone else bring all the other dishes. It works out pretty well.
Hope all those that are celebrating Thanksgiving have a great day. 🦃🧡🦃

We'll be 8 - just DH, my kids, and a couple of friends. I'm going to use the china, too! We used to host 20-30 people, and it was buffet style with people (young ones!) sitting on the floor, kiddie furniture, piano bench - any flat surface LOL - and of course disposable tableware.
We will have a very laid-back menu and schedule, thank God.

This is why we do NOT use fancy dishes at Thanksgiving. Paper plates and plastic silverware.
DH's family is like that. When everyone is together there are 17 people. His mom is like no way am I using plates. now my SIL has more than 17- I think over 25 people between friends and family who come over. She loves it and BIL smokes a ham and a turkey, she does all the sides and welcomes everyone into her home. Our house is just the 4 of us, we love how quiet it is.

There will be 11 at ours - me and my immediate family (kids/grandkids) and my brother, who is visiting from CA. My oldest daughter has taken over the hosting/preparing duties and for that I am so grateful. My youngest daughter lives too far away, so we will Facetime with them when the grandkids open their Christmas pajamas after dinner.
I hope everyone enjoys their holiday, whether big or small!

We will be at my son's with his wife and 2 girls, and they invited 2 guys who have no place to go this year. One usually joins us the past 5 or more years.

Just immediate family, which includes Dad. Usually we have extras. Not since the beginning of the pandemic or Mom’s passing.
