I never thought I had a particular style until my early 30's. I never follow trends but I wear what I like. I love bright colors and patterns on my clothing and accessories. I own a lot of pieces with Mexican embroidery, beautiful cotto fabrics, but also a lot of black.
If Frida Kahlo, Joan Jett, Debbie Harry, Iris Apfel, Jackie O. and the cholas I grew up with had a fashion house, I'd be their girl š
We are in the middle of a move, and I was joking with my sisters that my legacy to them will be oodles of crazy jewelry and ridiculous shoes.
For Thanksgiving, I wore a green Mexican blouse with bright embroidery tucked into my trusty black, faux leather Spanx leggings. Huge turquoise earrings, leopard print combat boots and a bright yellow cardigan.
As I get older, I care less about what others think and more about feeling happy and pretty and comfortable and bad ass in what I wear.

Colors. And patterns. I live in NYC where EVERYONE tends to wear black. All the time. Iām the person who will walk in to court wearing a mustard suit. Or coral. Or blue. If I absolutely have to wear black or a dark color best believe thereās a pattern party underneath my suit jacket.
This is also true for my non work wardrobe. Iām always hard pressed to find a black sweater or even a navy one. But I have a full line up of yellow, lavender, chartreuse and all shades of red.

Mine would be thrift shop business casual/trendy. I love thrifting and get lots of great buys. I do buy a few new pieces each season to really stay on trend. I visited my DD21 in her university town this weekend and got compliments from her on my jeans and boots. Iām 55 but feel I dress (and look) younger and my younger coworkers comment on my outfits often so Iām happy with my current style.

My style is mostly just acknowledging - after decades of trial and error - which styles suit my body type best and which ones I need to avoid. I look best in tailored clothes that skim the body. No collars or broad lapels, no high necklines, no details over the bust. I like trendy details but only wear trends that suit me. The best thing you can do for your style is to wear clothes that fit well. There was a thread not long ago talking about fit and I am super picky about how clothes fit. I don't think I currently own a top that isn't petite sized because the shoulders, sleeve length or armhole opening for sleeveless and overall length just fit better. I'm pretty much always in black/white pants (depending on the season) or jeans. Most of my tops are loose and flowy, but not too long and in light colors. Dealing with intermittent psoriasis scalp flares means I don't own tops in dark solid colors. I have enough of a "style" that DH and friends can pick out tops they know I will like.

Soccer mom I guess? Sketchers, jeans, and hoodie. I have a hoodie problem. I buy 2-4 every year and donate at least one for every one I buy. I have about 20 hoodies, maybe more. I'm picky though. Some people try to buy me hoodies and very rarely are they good ones. None of that Hanes crap. I often end up donating most of the hoodies that are gifted to me because they shrunk or just not a color I like.
Summer is sleeveless or tees and comfortable shorts. I probably look frumpy to a lot of people but I don't care anymore.

Apparently I do and it is wear what I like. I do not wear skirts, dresses, jewelry, carry a purse or wear manicured nails. Dress at work is business, but I have always pushed it a bit. I wear Dr Martens, print cargo pants and other non-traditional business outfits that I make more business with combinations. I get many compliments.
Did try a capsule wardrobe for a bit, but did not work for me.

DH used to say when I was in a crowd of teachers he had trouble finding me as we all dress the same, but that's probably less true now. I am - sigh - one of the older teachers in the building. The Millennial teachers are all either super trendy or they're busy moms of young kids who throw on whatever is clean and comfortable (sympathizing with that, not criticizing). But I've also not graduated to the level of much older teacher wearing Karen Kane knockoffs from TJ Maxx. So I don't really fit in with teacher style.

Ummmā¦ is Docs/Converse, skinny jeans, bright colors and fun graphic tee a āstyleā? š I think working from home for the last 10years has really changed my closet. Throw in getting older and not giving a flying fox about what others think, Iām wearing all the fun things I always wanted to wear when I was younger!
I own more Star Wars and Care Bear tees now than I ever did as a kid! Lol

Patter, I love your shoes.
I don't have a "style", I just buy what I like the look of. I never wear dresses or skirts, only pants, so maybe that's my "Style". I do have a piece of signature jewellery, I've worn one since I was a kid - a gold bangle, round, yellow gold circle with no joins, 1/8th-3/16th inch in width. I never take it off except to go through the machine at the airport, or if I have an operation. I also love wearing fun\silly earrings and hats. You should see this years Christmas hat - it's a marvel, lol. And everyone loves to see what I come up with each year.

If I was to guess I would say I wear lots and lots of black. Even when I wear another color it usually has black in it.
I also love to wear pink. I think others would say I wear black and pink

I donāt feel like I do, because I have an eclectic personality and I want my clothes to reflect it, which means sometimes preppy, sometimes edgy, sometimes dressyā¦ but my sister today said I do.
I do wear Freebird shoes like 95% of the time, though.

I look a bit like I fell out of the Talbots catalog. I'm fairly traditional but I am trying to add more fun jewelry and accessories. I kept some of my Mother's things and she was very stylish so I'm trying to incorporate them into my wardrobe. For example, last week we were out of town and I wore a new red puffy vest from Talbots over a black/cream flannel shirt from Land's End, leggings and my short boots. On the vest, I pinned a very large crystal snowflake pin that had been Mothers. It had been an annual collector's pin from a costume jewelry collection. I carried a nice handbag of hers and I thought it looked classic with a little punch. Me, too! I like that I can order online and things usually fit. I love how much color they have in their clothing. Your outfit sounds wonderful.

Stylish. I love fashion, classics, vintage pieces. I love color and recently decided my aging face does not look good in black anymore, so I'm starting to phase out a lot of my black (or at least wear a colorful scarf around my neck to brighten my face).
My one signature that has been with me since my early 20's without fail is I wear three 14k gold bangle bracelets. Even if I wear other bracelets, those gold bangles are always on me.
My brother who recently passed remarked about them a few years back. He mused 'you've always worn those bracelets..for as long as I can remember you, you've always had those'. IDK why but that made me so happy. I never realized it was a 'thing' of mine, let alone that anyone ever noticed.
Now sometimes when I look down at them I think of my sweet brother Greg.

Since I work from home for a tech company with no dress code, my style has lately evolved into frumpy chic. When I do dress to leave the house, my style is classic, simple (I don't do many prints) with a bit of feminine edge. My favorite piece of clothing that my kids say they are burying me in because I wear it so much is a mauve leather jacket with embroidered flowers and studs on it. I love that thing. I am also known for my colorful shoes, and red shoes in particular. My kids have picked up that habit.

I am also very eclectic, with a little bit of edgeā¦but the one constant in my wardrobe that I have been rocking since the 80ās is a big olā pair of thin hoop earrings. If ever I feel like my outfit is a little āmeh,ā I throw on my hoops and I feel good to go! :-D

I didnāt used to, but I do now. I stick to a color palette of basically warm neutrals (browns, tans, creams) and jewel tones. No black, no white. I try to create a sandwich, where something near the top coordinates or matches something near the bottom (so shoes the same color as sweater or scarf, etc). I try to always have two layers at least on top. I wear a lot of blazers and have an extensive jean jacket collection.
I just got a new job that is a huge promotion and will be much more front facing, where I will be working with quite a lot of people, so I am working on adding some more blazers to my repertoire. And boots. Boots (booties) are my thing.
If I could emulate anyoneās style, it would be Katharine Hepburn. I have the height, but not the āslim as a rail ā thing to pull that off. But I try to work out things that are sort of adjacent.

I never wear black shoes cause I don't like them. Other than that -no. My wife has a great style, wearing often different formal dresses.

My body type was a lush hourglass from age 12 on, and maybe because it was the way my mother dressed her similar body, or because I got positive, (though often unnerving), attention I dressed to emphasize those curves.
I realize now I was sending mixed messages between my excruciatingly shy, brainy nerd self, and my outward appearance. Very early in my life I began to share clothing with my mom, who was a stunning Marilyn M lookalike and only 30 YO.
After a terrible heartbreak at 20, a mild mannered very nerdy guy pursued me almost stalkishishly , I felt safe that this person was so attracted to me he wouldnāt hurt me.
I was very very wrong. He would get mad when I bought and wore more demure clothing. I look back and in hindsight see he wanted me to look like the sex workers he went to.
I apologize so much for this terrible derail. Your innocent question unlocked a fount of self realization, and Iām not going to erase it.
My current wardrobe has been assembled over several years, based on what is comfortable, made of fabrics I like and colors that make me happy.
Toward the last few years of my horrible marriage, I was actually choosing black things that covered me completely,as an active attempt to not spark any ideas in his head, not that it helped.
I do still rock the pencil skirts, but with colorful shells and soft comfy sweaters.
Also, while doing the Marie Kondo, I discovered I had twenty something shirts with nautical style horizontal stripes. It was honestly mind blowing.

I had my colours and style done years ago. I'm a Natural Gamine autumn leaf, so I'm known for wearing autumn colours all year round, almost always trousers and random small quirky details. I have a few dresses (no skirts) for Christmas parties and funerals. I've spent 26 years cultivating my wardrobe and now I've put weight on with the cancer meds, and I haven't got much that fits any more, not even footwear. I hate that. I had no idea that feet go up a size when you put a few pounds on. I totally empathize . Clothing fitting might seen āunimportantā, when fighting cancer, but it absolutely is not. Our clothes we have assembled are almost friends to us that we can count on to help us through the day. I truly hope you are either going out to find clothes that make you feel happy and amazing, or ordering things online and trying them at home.

Scarves and necklaces. I have a closet full of basic stuff that I mix with accessories. Here in Florida where Lily Pulitzer is the norm, I wear solid colors and funky jewelry or colorful scarves.

I've had the all-clear from the cancers I had, and now I'm on a mission to get back as close to normal as I can. Curve balls keep coming from all directions. Fat and painful feet weren't on the extensive list of things they warned me about! I do absolutely aim to find some nice boots to go in my Christmas stocking.
