We are having dh's extended family over for a Christmas dinner in a few weeks. I need to find a table cloth/table runner/centerpiece for our dining room table. With the leaf in its about 90 inches long and I'm having a hell of a time finding table runners that size. Especially ones I like. I like red, green, silver and something semi formal to formal. We have plates like these. www.ebay.com/itm/354317779791Decorating and setting a table is so not my thing and the size of our table (which doesn't seem that big to me?) is making me crazy. I'll also need to have a side table for the young adults but I'll worry about that later once I know how many will be showing up. Any advice? Websites to try etc? I despise shopping in person so would like to avoid that if at all possible.

I do like that one. I wonder if the 90" includes the part that hangs over or not? If that makes sense? I want some hanging over.

No, but it is really cute! I love snowmen and would totally use it if the dinner was more of a casual thing (which I'd like, but that's not how his family is).

You can always buy fabric and make it as long as you need. If you don't sew, you can iron to the size you want or use ironing tape.

I don't think that table runners necessarily have to go over the ends of the table to create a beautiful tablescape. You can also put multiple shorter runners sideways on the table and it's a beautiful look.
You could search on Pinterest for "table runners sideways" to get some great inspiration.

If it were me, I would keep things simple and make your festive Christmas plates the star of the table. If you are going for a more traditional vibe, I would buy red or green solid placemats and napkins then find an appropriately sized and shaped bowl (you could use more than one if you have a big table) and fill it w/ shiny glass ornaments of different sizes which match your placemats and napkins. Then I'd add a few sprigs of real or fake greenery and call it good. I probably wouldn't use a table cloth or runner, but that's just me. I like things clean and simple. If I did use a tablecloth, I'd choose white or ivory.
Of course you could go w/ a more modern Christmas color like pink or turquoise if you wanted, but I would keep things simple and not have a lot of patterns on the table, because I think they would compete w/ the words on your dishes.
