I just finished this audiobook. I wish I could read (listen) again for the first time. The narration was fantastic and perfect. It was both heartbreaking and entertaining. It is definitely my favorite book of 2022.

Wow, that's quite an endorsement--you should let the author know. I mean it. A unique appreciation such as that would make a writer's day (and might make the book jacket of the next printing).
You provoked me into looking up a summary description of the story, and it sounds amazing. Thanks!

I just finished the hardback. Best book this year by far. I love Kingsolver though.

ITA! So far I have read 125 books this year and Demon Copperhead is the best I have read.

hmm.... And I had this out from the library for my Kindle, but returned it without starting it. I read the description and it sounded like it would be very depressing. But after this thread I might give it a try.

I read the Poisonwood Bible last year and struggled to get through it. I'll have to look at the description again.

I'm still traumatized from Poisonwood Bible, but I'll look into it.

I started it, but couldn't get into it. I didn't like Poisonwood Bible either :/ The story seemed very interesting, I just didn't enjoy the way it was told.
