Yes I have watched the series and all I can say is that it was not worth the three hours I will never get back.
There are just not enough adjectives to explain them. A total waste of space.

My favourite line (sarcasm) already is Harry saying "there's a hierarchy in this family" No shit Harry! How long has it taken you to come to this stunning insight about the Monarchy that you were born into? He is a dumb as dog b*lls!

So what was so unforgivable to them that they have completely cut him out of their lives? The woman who was married to a Jewish man and is now marrying a man who dressed as a Nazi for fun - can't extend any grace to her father, for his poor judgment and lack of discretion? Yes, I would hold my 70 something year old dad to a different standard than what my 30 something year old fiance did at 20. Sadly, I think Samantha was at play and an influence on dad. YMMV I'd love to hear your thoughts on David Olusoga.

The "worst thing" is the combined 6 hours of them shitting all over his family yet again, simply so they make money from it. Harry's very own words "it's amazing what people will do for money" and I'm equally amazed how often some people will do it. So, why did you watch? Why contribute to the demand?

So, why did you watch? Why contribute to the demand? I answered that question earlier in the thread. But I don't see any connection between and what you chose to quote I quoted the part that was relevant to my questions. If there weren’t people watching, they wouldn’t be able to make the money. The more people that watch this one, the more likely they are to do it again. It’s disingenuous to look down on someone for doing this when you’re literally the consumer creating the demand.

t’s disingenuous to look down on someone for doing this when you’re literally the consumer creating the demand I completely reject that concept, they are the ones who want to constantly put their story out there - and if they want to do it, then I'll watch it and have an opinion about it. It doesn't matter how much "demand" there is, if you don't want to do something - then you don't do it. They don't need the money. I would watch William and Catherine talking about their lives in a heartbeat and so would billions of others...they'll never do it. ABBA never reunited and did another live concert - despite being offered "the economy of several small countries". and I always love it when people who have nothing of interest to add to a conversation, start attacking the people involved in the conversation.

Gotta love those “royal sources”. Or even simple, common sense. Why trust any of those when you can believe the scandalous?

I completely reject that concept, they are the ones who want to constantly put their story out there - and if they want to do it, then I'll watch it and have an opinion about it. That’s ridiculous. If Joe down the street wanted to film a documentary about himself and sell it to Netflix, he couldn’t. No one cares. There is a market and demand for them to do this, which is contributed to by you. I always love it when people who have nothing of interest to add to a conversation, start attacking the people involved in the conversation. I love it when people don’t see how hypocritical they are. It’s cool that we are both getting something out of this conversation.

The book will have yet another version of their courtship/engagement and everything else they can find to winge about. One thing they are consistent about is their inconsistency in stories.

I'd just like someone to actually ask a follow up question. So far, all of their comments/interviews have been made in a vacuum. I want someone to ask who "they" is. The thing I have noticed ever since this started, before they even left the BRF, is that there are a lot of vague accusations, made against a group, without any concrete details or proof, knowing that the family cannot respond, and Harry and Meghan know it. They tarred the whole family with the "how dark will Archie's skin be" as a racist question. Worse, she wan't even there so cannot say what was actually said.

It's so hard to keep track of how many different times they can tell this story LOL

I don't know it is worth my time.
I do find it fascinating the vitriol towards them or towards the other royals--the two opposing camps.
I figure that both things can be true: They can be attention-seeking "tools" AND she could have been treated poorly/in racist ways. I find it vaguely interesting, but probably not enough to watch.

And I think it's a little of both attention seeking and I don't doubt they were treated poorly (or at least it was perceived that way.)

I love it when people don’t see how hypocritical they are. It’s cool that we are both getting something out of this conversation. aww sweetie, you don't understand how a message board works do you? I have actual posts in this thread, thoughts and ideas, opinions and reactions, now you may or may not agree with them...but that's what's called a dis·cus·sionYou have 3 posts quoting and attacking me which amount to "It'S vOuR FaUlT!!" and nothing to add to the actual topic being discussed...so why do you even open the thread?? You need to refresh your memory of hypocrite too. It means saying one thing and doing another - which clearly does not apply to me because I have posted both discussion posts and pointed out the lack of yours.

This is his first autobiography isn't it? There's been loads of biographies for sure! oh! right! For some reason I was under the impression it was written by them (for them?) with a ghost writer? Similar to his book coming out.... "Officially" Finding Freedom wasn't written by them, but by her friend and social media mouthpiece Omid Scobie. They tried to deny they had anything to do with the book but when they sued the media over publishing her father's letter it came out in court that both she and her friends did co-operate with the book (she lied in court and claimed she 'forgot') However "Spare" is part of a separate publishing deal, rumoured to be 5 books with her children's book being the first, and Harry's the second...so who knows what they'll fill another 3 books with if that's true. It was still ghost written but this is 100% 'his' book and apparently he's also reading the audiobook so he won't be able to claim he didn't know or agree with everything in there. It does seem like a very shortsighted move, to release the documentary before the book, because what else could he have left to say? The two of them were only working Royals for a hot minute and that's been flogged to death, so it's probably a rehash of his early years. My bets are Charles & Camilla will be in the firing line for this one.

They are a pair of pointless grifters who are desperately trying to stay relevant. Things could have been so different. Time they had their Royal status removed.
The mocking clip of the exaggerated curtsey was hateful.

That was exactly what I was thinking when they told their version of the breakdown in the relationship between Meghan and her father, Thomas, just before the wedding. Meghan said she texted Thomas twenty times and received no answer. At some point, she heard he was in the hospital with heart problems. Meghan finally received an answer to her texts, but she did not think it was actually written by Thomas. It didn’t match his texting style. Harry and Meghan suspected “someone” had taken Thomas’ phone and sent the text to Meghan, pretending to be Thomas. Harry sprung into action and grabbed Meghan’s phone and composed a text to Thomas saying something like “This is Harry. We don’t believe you sent that last text to Meghan because it doesn’t sound like you. We’re worried about you.” Then the story abruptly ended. There were no follow up questions such “do you have a theory as to who might have taken Thomas’ phone?” or “did you consider hiring someone to check on Thomas’ well being?”

Then the story abruptly ended. There were no follow up questions such “do you have a theory as to who might have taken Thomas’ phone? her father has come out in the last few days and said it was him who wrote those texts. There's no follow up because none of these things they are doing are actual interviews, it's a reality TV show and the person speaking is just the producer giving them prompts on what to talk about next. They get to say whatever they want and there's no-one there whose job it is to push back or ask follow up questions. A proper interview with a skilled interviewer with good knowledge of the royal family would be really interesting to watch

I know almost nothing about these 2, though I did get up really early to watch their wedding on TV (and William and Kate's!). I don't even know what all was in the Oprah interview, tbh. But this thread got me curious and I watched the first 2 episodes last night. Not sure what to think yet. Harry seems sincere to me, in how he feels about Meghan, but what do I know? I'm going to finish it tonight.
