My eyebrows are thinning and not in a good way, meaning they just look odd. Have you tried any growth serums that actually worked to regrow them? Or do you use henna? tattoo micro blading? basic eyebrow pencil or a shadow or a gel pen? Just looking for eyebrow advice. My thinning eyebrows are really bothering me.

I use EyEnvy and it has worked nicely for me. It has been discontinued and I have one unopened tube of it and then I will go back to generic Latisse I guess. I am not sure what to do but I have another 2 mos of EyEnvy opened already and 4 mos of new. Good luck on your quest!

I’ve never done anything except fill them in/shape them with an eyebrow pencil or powder. There are several good ones out there.

Latisse works great for me. Lots of people rave about Revitalash but it didn't do anything for me.
Also, I get my brows tinted when I get them shaped and that helps them look more dense as well.

For those who use Latisse, where do you buy it? I have had some results in lash growth when using Grande Lash but haven't seen any change with any non-prostaglandin products (Clinique, No 7, the ordinary). However, I do think the Ordinary lash serum makes my eyebrows grow (although I am not putting it on my brows, I just have more brow growth under my regular brow line, my lashes don't seem longer, though).

I use a variety of filling in methods - pencil, powder, gel mascara types depending on my mood. A good friend has just had her brows microbladed and they look great but be sure to do your research if you want to go that route. Tinting is good for making the most of even the finest hairs, then have them professionally shaped.

Is there a difference between tattooing and micro blading? My eyebrows have really thinned recently and I’m tired of filling them in daily.

Microblading is done by hand not machine and that creates a more realistic, less flat, more hair-like appearance, and it uses different inks which stay true to colour better. Also tattoos will last forever but microblading will gently fade because the ink isn't so deep into the skin and so it will require touch ups after a few years. The advantage of that is that subtle changes can be made if you wanted to. I suppose in essence micro blading is more specific to eyebrows.

I would start with a brow serum and a pencil/brow pen to fill them in. If you are still not happy with them look into micro blading. I know some people who have had good results but have also seen some online who don’t. I personally wouldn’t tattoo my eyebrows because as we ago our faces change. Even if they look natural now they may not look good in the future and do not fade like micro blading. That goes for any type of tattooing on the face (I’ve seen people do their eyeliner and lips as well).

I did a powder tattoo to fill in. Nothing dramatic — it’s very subtle and lasts 2-3 years.

That being said I am in my 60's and if your artist is good...she will take your age, facial structure/features into consideration. The gal that did mine, brows is all she does, so she is amazing. I'm sure all are not as good.

My brow pencil has become one of my “desert island” items. My brows have always been thin and lighter colored, but now even more so with aging. As to be expected. But I’m not sure many women realize how much older that makes you look. Enhancing your brows is one of the fastest ways to take some age off your face. Right now I’m happy with the effects from penciling them in, but I wouldn’t rule out micro blading down the road.

When lip colour and definition, eye colour etc are all fading it's a great way to ensure some 'structure' and definition to your face

Microbladed brows a couple years ago, love them. I did not want to be bothered with having to draw them on all the time.

Those that have had microblading-how old were you when you had it done? I'm 65 and use a pencil and I think it looks ok. I'm just afraid that microblading will look too "intense" and not natural. Can they control how heavy/full/ it is? I don't want to be 65 and look like I have a 20-year old's eybrows (or do I??)

Also pondering micro blading for my thin, aging, pale redhead brows, but I’ve seen so many thick, dark, just awful fake-looking brows that I’m scared to even explore the possibility.

I have not had them touched up since then.

Yes, a good artist can do it a variety of ways to get the perfect custom look for you. But there are also a lot of people out there doing microblading who are not good. Be sure to do a consult, look at their portfolio, etc. Not a time to shop for a deal. It will look bolder right at the beginning, until it heals. This is a local pair of artists I think are great. You’ll see a variety of looks, which I think is important because it suggests that they’re doing custom work, not one-size-fits-all. instagram.com/the.goodface?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

This is why your research is important. A good tech can get it perfect for you and how you want to look. Just as busy said

I’m a redhead as well. My brows are currently much fuller than I want (I get them threaded but the outer end of my brows is getting thinner it seems) but I would think the problem with microblading is the color of my natural brows. They are very light in color and I would still need to use a brow gel to get the color of my brows to match. I assume it’s the same if people have grey brows? I’m curious how that has worked for people.

I’ve recently noticed mine thinning. Is there any good videos or info on how to properly fill them in? I think I have it in my head those that fill in is overdrawn, overdone brows. And I don’t want that 🤪
