I literally gasped. What a talented man who truly loved his family. I feel for Allison and the kids this holiday season. Praying for them.

I literally gasped. What a talented man who truly loved his family. I feel for Allison and the kids this holiday season. Praying for them. Oh I did to!! I had people in my office and my daughter called... I gasped in front of everyone. I just feel like how much you don't know about people (Honestly, I mean I really knew nothing about him in real life) but he must have been really suffering and just didn't seem like the type to do something like that. And there is no TYPE.. just hard to say how to feel.. I guess those are just my random thoughts.

I just saw that and was shocked!!! I have always loved his wife, and their videos. What a sad sad thing. I can't even imagine the despair for his wife.

I’m so sad. I loved him and his family. He always seemed so upbeat, like a giving caring person. It just goes to show you never know what is goi g in with someone.

Oh my gosh! What joy he brought to so many while, I assume, struggling to find that himself.

That is just so sad...it is heartbreaking when someone feels that is their only way out of their situation (be it depression, financial trouble, relationship troubles, etc) - just so sad.

Wow, that does hurt. I didn't watch Ellen but follow them on Instagram. They both always seem so happy, fun and loving. So sad.

I’m so shocked. He has given me so much joy over the years watching his dancing. I’m so very sorry for his family. Just a sad sad story.

Oh no. I adore Twitch. I remember seeing him and Allison on So You Think You Can Dance. I loved watching them dance. tWitch always seemed like such a happy, personable guy. You never know what someone's going through.

Such terrible news. I loved both Twitch and Alison when they were on So You Think You Can Dance all those years ago, and followed them loosely after their marriage. What a heartbreak.

I was sad to read the news. I remember when he first auditioned for SYTYCD. He became one of my favorites on the show. So young and so sad.

How awful. How sad. I really loved tWitch’s performances, I really liked him as a judge on SYTYCD
His family is in my thoughts, may they have peace.

My husband and I were dropping off kids at school this AM and he was telling me this funny story while I was scrolling the news and suddenly gasped.
I was a huge fan of both tWitch and Allison from their So You Think You Can Dance days -- they were both absolute lights on that show, as competitors and as pros in the later seasons. I am just devastated for their family, in a way that I seldom feel for celebrities.

This is very sad news. Thinking of Alison and their children. I enjoyed watching them both dance.
As a gentle reminder/request to the OP: as someone affected by suicide it is gentler/more appropriate to say someone “died by suicide” rather than committed suicide. Additionally, it was jarring to read your comment, “he didn’t seem the type” to do that. Yes, you then said there was no “type” but once realizing that might not be great to say, perhaps you should have just deleted that. Thank you for considering.

OH NO!!! I'm the same as you, workingclassdog. Absolutely relate to everything you shared in your OP. I am shocked and heartbroken for A and their children. So hard to wrap my brain around this. I haven't read the linked info yet...

tWitch brought so much joy to so very many as did Allison, and the two of them together were INCREDIBLE!!! This surprise Allison created for him was magic! www.youtube.com/watch?v=FosWg27k_2I

Oh my. He and Allison are both so talented. And what a lovely family. My heart just breaks for them.
The video above of him and Katee really raised the bar for routines on SYTYCD. A really wonderful contributor to the world of dance has been lost.

My daughter texted me the news, and I too literally gasped. Loved him on SYTYCD! Have missed him and the show. So incredibly sad for his family.

I agree.... committed implies a criminal act. It's a hard switch to make in my speech pattern but I've been trying to for a few years. Thank you for the reminder.
