Everyone remember 'Diamond and Silk' “I knew Diamond, but I didn’t know Silk at all. I just learned about Silk. You’re fantastic," said Trump in a video clip from the service. It didn't appear to be a joke. The women were welcomed to the White House where Trump embraced them both.www.rawstory.com/trump-diamond-silk/

So here is an ex president of the United States hanging out with a supposedly ex mob boss. I say supposedly ex mob boss because are they truly ever out of the ”life of crime”?
But more the more interesting thing is the look on trump’s face. Does he even know where he is?
This wasn’t at MAR but his golf course.

Just a thought from a wondering mind...
Reading about the Kavanaugh situation with the FBI.
Where are the files that were sent to the WH counsel, who BTW, are to serve the office of the president(and or the WH), not the president?
Are they supposed to be preserved? The FBI just hands over all their info and keep no copies of records of anything?

Isn't this ... Federal judge could decide as soon as February to yank abortion pill nationwideJennifer Shutt, States Newsroom January 23, 2023 WASHINGTON — A Texas judge could decide as soon as next month whether to force the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to pull its two-decade-old approval of the abortion pill, which accounts for more than half of pregnancy terminations in the United States. A nationwide injunction in the case, as requested by anti-abortion groups, would deny abortion medication even in states where abortion is legal and affect millions of individuals’ reproductive rights decisions. The legal fight is viewed as likely to eventually make its way to the Supreme Court, which in 2022 overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion rights. The FDA is urging the federal judge — an appointee of former President Donald Trump — not to issue a preliminary ruling in the case that centers on whether the agency exceeded its authority to approve mifepristone in 2000, whether it erred in making changes to when and how the medication can be used in 2016 and if sending the medication through the mail is legal. The federal government, in a court filing on Jan. 13, said the anti-abortion groups’ lawsuit to force the FDA to pull the pharmaceutical from the market “is extraordinary and unprecedented.” “Plaintiffs have pointed to no case, and the government has been unable to locate any example, where a court has second-guessed FDA’s safety and efficacy determination and ordered a widely available FDA-approved drug to be removed from the market — much less an example that includes a two-decade delay,” wrote attorneys for the U.S. Justice Department. The 52-page opposition to a preliminary ruling says such a decision “would cause significant harm, depriving patients of a safe and effective drug that has been on the market for more than two decades.” www.rawstory.com/federal-judge-could-decide-as-soon-as-february-to-yank-abortion-pill-nationwide/

TFG's lawyers claim he is not guilty of anything in Georgia, because.... Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporters Bill Rankin and Tamar Hallerman posted the statement from Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, who are attorneys with the law firm that was retained by the former president. "On behalf of President Trump, we will not be present nor participating in Tuesday's hearing regarding the possible release of the special purpose grand jury's report. To date, we have never been a part of this process," the statement claims. "The grand jury compelled the testimony of dozens of other, often high-ranking, officials during the investigation, but never found it important to speak with the President. He was never subpoenaed nor asked to come in voluntarily by this grand jury or anyone in the Fulton County District Attorney's Office. Therefore, we can assume that the grand jury did their job and looked at the facts and the law, as we have, and concluded there were no violations of the law by President Trump." www.rawstory.com/trump-fulton-county-georgia-lawyers/

Marc Elias responded to a tweet by this lot. So I read the thread and looked at the name of the group and my spidy sensors went off so I asked Google some questions. Here is the thread. IMO they are very subtle in suggesting a vast number of Americans don’t trust our elections. When I got to tweet number 4 I just knew it had to be Republicans behind this concern about voting and voting rights. So what this group is going to do is support a state’s effort to make it harder for people to vote. Well certain people. Marc Elias’s law firm is one of the main ones used by groups to overturn state voter suppression laws. I guess Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections is the Republicans answer to Marc Elias’s law firm. From Reuters…. link” Ex-Trump AG Barr, others launch Republican-backed election law group”* Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections was co-founded by Karl Rove, hotelier Steve Wynn and lawyer Bobby Burchfield *The group opposes courts intervening in state election laws *and has already filed briefs in court cases over new voting restrictions “Reuters) - Prominent Republicans including former U.S. Attorney General William Barr on Thursday launched a new legal group they say is aimed at defending state legislatures’ right to set election laws. The nonprofit group, Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections, is also co-founded by longtime Republican strategist Karl Rove, hotel magnate and GOP donor Steve Wynn and attorney Bobby Burchfield, who last year resigned from the law firm King & Spalding.”

I used to go to a summer ballet program at Mills. All of this is so depressing. It also makes it so every time i have a student who is threatening people at our school I really pause and think about my exit plan.
