Headline from NBC News… ” Trump lawyers expected to fight Pence subpoena on executive privilege grounds”“Pence has been subpoenaed by the special counsel investigating Trump’s effort to stay in office after the 2020 election and his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.” Thanks to dumpster don here is yet another thing this country is going to have to determine a definition of what is covered. The question. Should a sitting President be allowed to claim “executive privilege “ in conversations of others that has nothing to do with national security but potentially could end up committing a crime? Do we want future presidents to be able to hide conversations with others about his actions that could be seen as a crime against this country? Executive Privilege already has an exclusion for any conversation made relating to the planning of or commission of a crime, if I understand it correctly.

Everybody knows or should know that for years Social Security and Medicare has been in the Republicans sights as something that needs to be cut or privatize.
So when President Biden called them on it the other night there was all this fake outrage on their side.
Today the Republicans in the House introduced an interesting bill that could be seen as petty revenge for President Biden calling them out.

A new report from Rolling Stone claims that former President Donald Trump mulled supporting a get-Medieval-on-crime policy for his 2024 White House bid that could even include televised executions of death row inmates. Two sources tell Rolling Stone that Trump is particularly keen on bringing back old-time methods of executing prisoners, including firing squads, hangings, and even guillotines. *** "The [former] president believes this would help put the fear of God into violent criminals,” one source tells the publication. “He wanted to do some of these [things] when he was in office, but for whatever reasons didn’t have the chance." www.rawstory.com/trump-penalty/

Isn't that how he wants women to become, fragile? Unable to take of themselves. Be at the mercy of the great strong white males? Oh right, those males are being emasculated by those weak fragile women?!?! How special is that?!?!

Hey, another GOP pro lifer!! Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) responded to the fifth anniversary of the shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida by calling for more people to be killed with capital punishment. At a press conference Tuesday, DeSantis was asked if enough had been done to stop future gunmen like the one who killed 17 people in Parkland. *** "If there's never accountability, these things are more likely to happen," the governor insisted. DeSantis complained that gunman Nikolas Cruz was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole instead of the death penalty. "We're going to reform the capital sentencing procedure in Florida," he vowed. "Of course, to be convicted of a crime, you need a unanimous jury. But Nikolas Cruz was somebody everyone knew was guilty, and he's entitled to process, but he admitted it, right?" www.rawstory.com/ron-desantis-moves-to-make-penalty-easier-in-response-to-parkland-shooting-anniversary/Gov DeSantis keep in mind most states don't usually put the mentally ill to death... Guess he does not consider school shooters mentally ill... Well it must be the GUNS after all !!!!

Omg that is a scary thought. Didn’t he actually up the number of actual executions during his time in office for federal prisons? These were people already in death row. The idea of having the power to execute your political enemies is really terrifying. He seems to think anyone that even looks at him wrong is an enemy. You need to kiss his butt. I remember him holding off releasing emergency funds to California because Newsome wasn’t nice enough to him - he made remarks along those lines. He did release it a few days later but that was beyond childish to make people doing their job beg you to do your job.

Capital punishment is not going to stop these shootings. The majority take their own life. True. We can't kill our way out of the killings! But DeSatan shares TFG's disgusting desire for power, including over life or death. Of course, common-sense gun control is out of the question, since they're owned by the NRA. Besides that, there is no logical reason for a civilian who's not living among animals as deadly to humans as polar bears to own, essentially, a machine gun.

Yup the DeSantis piece is a few above the one of the TFG... But remember they are pro-birth.. but claim to be pro-life... As they try to find cruel ways to execute prisoners..

How exactly is the train derailment Secretary Pete’s fsult?
She is being so blatantly dishonest here and if folks would actually use their common sense they would know that. Unfortunately we have way too many people who don’t

So there MTG..
Trump Admin’s Latest Rail Safety Rollback Sets up Industry to Make Its Own Rules
ByJustin Mikulkaon May 30, 2019 @ 10:42 PDT This week, the Trump administration’s Department of Transportation (DOT) withdrew another rail safety recommendation originally proposed during the Obama administration. In the process, the agency made quite clear that it has no plans to further regulate the rail industry, especially the dangerous and continued transportation of oil and ethanol in unsafe tank cars.
The latest proposed rule to be withdrawn would have required two-person crews on trains. Supporters of this rule argue that two-person crews are safer because the job of operating a train is too demanding for one person, new technologies are making the job more complex, and fatigue becomes a more serious issue with only one crew member. Since 2017, the Trump administration has already repealed a regulation requiring modern brakes for oil trains and canceled a plan requiring train operators to be tested for sleep apnea.
In announcing this decision, the DOT‘s Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) stated it was “providing notice of its affirmative decision that no regulation of train crew staffing is necessary or appropriate for railroad operations to be conducted safely at this time.”
