What would make trump decide to use lethal force or not would be if it personally benefited him in some way.

You can’t make this stuff up. Apparently the ONLY reason the Brazilian Government didn’t proceed with the charges of fraud against this guy is because they couldn’t find him. So instead of lying low this guy runs for a elected office but not something like dog catcher but as a member of the United States Congress. Did he honestly think no one would notice?

He doesn’t grasp the simple fact that what is happening with McCarthy isn’t the only thing that makes the current crop of Republicans look foolish.

This is not going to end well for our country! With the gutting of the Ethics committee!! They think Jordan should be speaker?!?! Kyle Herrig, president of the group Accountable.US, noted in a statement that the move could help not only Santos but also members such as Republican Congressman Jim Jordan (Ohio), who—along with GOP Rep. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), and Scott Perry (Texas)—was referred to the House Committee on Ethics for ignoring a subpoena from the select committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. www.rawstory.com/house-ethics-office/#cxrecs_s

This is how hypocritical the Republicans are about finding a workable solution for immigration reform.
These migrants where from Cuba. So far not a single Republican, including DeSantis, has uttered a word about open borders. Or do they believe the Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Mexico aren’t considered borders of the United States?

Great point here. As always, I love her conclusion. For conservatives who supposedly love the Constitution, they seem to care only about how the insurrection will affect them personally. www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/01/03/intriguing-revelations-jan-6-documents/heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/january-2-2023?r=1f0orz&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=emailAfter the riot of January 6, Trump advisor Hope Hicks exchanged horrified texts with Julie Radford, Ivanka Trump’s chief of staff, bemoaning that the Trump family was now “royally f*cked.” “In one day, he ended every future opportunity that doesn’t include speaking engagements at the local proud boy’s chapter,” Hicks wrote, “And all of us that didn’t have jobs lined up will be perpetually unemployed…. I’m so mad and upset. We all look like domestic terrorists now.” “Not being dramatic, but we are all f*cked,” she wrote.
Conservative Atlantic columnist Tom Nichols tweeted: “Their concern for the Constitution they swore to uphold is so touching.”

Here's another little gem from the documents released by the Jan 6 committtee. Remember at the end of Trump's presidency, the vague schedules with many important meetings and phone calls? www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/01/03/intriguing-revelations-jan-6-documents/Trump learned his daily schedule was made public only at the end of his presidency A couple of days before the riot, the White House press office began to use this vague language to announce Trump’s public schedule: “President Trump will work from early in the morning until late in the evening. He will make many calls and have many meetings.” The explanation for this puzzlingly nonspecific “schedule,” according to deputy press secretary Judd Deere’s testimony to the committee, was simple: It was news to Trump that for nearly four years his schedule had been broadcast at all. “Beginning sometime around mid to late December,” Deere said, “the President discovered that, for the first time, my understanding, that we released a public schedule of his to the public. He wanted to change the way we did that.”

And then there is this.
I guess this kind of proves the Republican politicians in these states really don’t care for the suckers who continue to vote for them.
I mean Republicans really do believe being poor is a life choice.

Silly people, the Republicans have no interest in actually coming up with an immigration solution. Their only intent when it comes to the southern border is to use it as a weapon against the Democrats.
But what is really telling is the Republicans have been silent about this. Including DeSantis.
