I see nice substantial twine here and there in other people’s shared projects, but I can’t find any to buy. Everything I come across is very thin, just a few strings twisted together.
I find a few listings for 2mm, described as tick, but looking closely at the photos (with nothing included to help with scale), I’m not convinced it’s better than I already have.

I got some thicker stuff at Tuesday Morning a long time ago. At first I thought it was actually too thick but I grew to really love it, especially for wrapping gifts. Holding it up to my ruler it's just under 2mm and each color is 8 ply. It's easily twice as thick as the more expensive twines I've gotten from Doodlebug and Etsy shops. It came on a big spool but unfortunately I don't have the tag to see what it was called. It's hard to tell from online images but I would think 2mm is pretty thick for baker's twine.

I bought some red and green twine from Michael's that was very thick. They had it mixed in with the Christmas twine.

There’s also Doodlebug Chunky Twine as an option from a known brand. It comes in lots of their signature colors
