Hello Peas! I am one of the last people on earth to get started with Instagram. I actually made a false start at it a couple of years ago but got derailed. I'm trying again now. Most of the people I have found to follow so far are my real-life friends, my freelance writing colleagues and some of my craft website readers. I am hoping to find more "scrappy" friends and people who post paper crafts -- layouts, mini albums, cards, planner layouts, "junk" journals (I hate calling them that!) etc. I don't have all that many photos posted yet, but I am planning to share pics of scrapbooking layouts, mini albums, crochet projects, planner layouts and the occasional card. I also enjoy posting gratuitous cute cat pictures. My top-priority project right now is making scrapbook albums to document the 5+ years my husband and I lived aboard sailboats and went cruising. It is a photo/video based social media app. Can try or see it without signing up for it? Yes, you can, but it's kind of a pain in the neck; I'm not sure it's worth the effort. They only give you little glimpses before they attempt to get you to log in. I don't use the mobile app (because I am the only person left on earth who doesn't carry a mobile phone). My understanding of the situation is that, in the past, you couldn't access Instagram without using the app unless you used a browser called Vivaldi that had set up workarounds so people could access it using a desktop / laptop computer. I read somewhere that they now allow desktop users access, but I still use Vivaldi, so I am not sure of all the details on other ways to gain access. |
