I confess I am an animal advocate when it comes to the welfare of animals & pets . We are already having very dangerous weather in our country with cold & wind chills. Please bring them into a warm area & proper shelter. Use straw not cloth. Water is a must & needs to be thawed out & replaced with fresh more then once a day. They also get frostbite & their paws can bleed on cold surfaces. Anyone have ideas please reply below with your suggestions, their lives are truly in your hands. 🖐🤚🙏❤️ Thank you.

Today we were at 52* and tonight we are expecting -22. I go out with my dogs every time they go out. We've got too many murder kitties in the area! I just can't imagine leaving a dog or any soft pawed creature outside in the bitter cold.

We have a feral cat who lives in our screened in porch. There are walls halfway up but I have to leave the door cracked for him to get in and out. He has a heated cat house where he stays. I just checked on him and he was tucked up so far in the back that I could barely see him. The bitter cold hits tomorrow. He comes inside sometimes after seven years but freaks out if I close the door. I know he will be okay but still….

Thank God my dog loves being inside. The hard part will be getting her outside to do her business in this coming blizzard

Thanks for sharing and caring!
My daughter just went to visit her sister, and it is supposed to have a wind chill of -40 degrees. We can't fathom that kind of weather. We should have kept the grand pup. He is there with them plus they may have freezing rain. Oh my!

We only have barn kitties and one dog at the farm now. They all have access to very warm shelter and always fresh water.
We upped our feed for the cattle on stalks. Started day before yesterday with extra feed and also made sure they came up to water. They have wind shelter and can move to different locations depending on the wind. It is quite amazing how they instinctually protect themselves. We just need to make sure they have plenty of energy (through high quality feed) and always fresh water. DH is out in the -14º (actual temp) making sure everything is fed, watered and sheltered. It's a very hard day on him!

We have a feral that shows up daily to eat. We have several shelters for her with straw and not hay. If we leave the door to the family room she will come in for a bit but runs back outside. We also know she has shelter in a nearby basement.
