Me! I just emptied every draw and cabinet in my kitchen today and got rid of tons. We did my 7 year old’s room on Christmas Eve and managed to get her to agree to donate lots of toys that she’d been having a hard time letting go of. As much as it was a PITA on Christmas Eve, she was definitely motivated by Santa’s pending visit so it was worth it. I purged all my other rooms over the past months so I am officially done… for now.

I'm going through closets this week. I'm sure the donation places are busy right now, because I think everyone has the same idea around this time of year. Another option is local buy nothing groups. The one for my area is very active and the things that get posted are usually snapped up quickly.

Yes, DSO and I have been busy for a couple of days purging.
DD moved out nearly two weeks ago, so we have purged a lot of her stuff.
Then DS moved into DD's old room, so he purged a heap of stuff.
Just before Christmas I cleaned out my saucepan cupboard and got rid of old frypans, steamers, random lids etc.
My SIL bought me some new cooking utensils, so I cleaned out my utensil drawer and purged a fair bit of stuff.
I was on a roll, so I cleaned out my Tupperware drawer and purged a heap of the cheaper / broken / lidless containers.
Today I emptied out the linen cupboard and got rid of lots of old linen and tea towels etc.
I really need to do my wardrobe, but it's too big a job.

Per the declutter thread on the board I’ve been having a great time going through the whole house this year and minimising the sheer amount of stuff we store in our house (we don’t use most of it so that’s all we’re doing at the moment!) Today I put on my big girl pants, went out in the searing heat (38 degrees C here!) and went through one of the last boxes still outside from after the floors were redone. Listed four lots on eBay, got four bags of projects I won’t finish and items I no longer need ready to donate to my nannas church’s garage sale, and finished one project (one unfinished project remains from the box but I’m okay with that.) Four or so boxes to go, aiming to have them done before the kitchen goes in in January to free up our undercover storage space (probably not going to happen but having a deadline works for me!)

I plan to go through all the Xmas decorations as they are being put away and purge some of those. My girls are home and the oldest completely emtied her dresser; I think she probably added some items to my car, where I am collecting things for a trip to the Animal Shelter thrift store. I think I will also get rid of a lot of my pyrex (no more lids) and buy new (with lids). I need to research first to find the ones with the BEST lids (ones that don't fall apart after a couple of rounds in the dishwasher). My pantry could also use some attention... I have used the glass storage containers with locking lids (all 4 sides) for years and they are still holding up. I buy them at Costco when they are on sale. Even though I just moved here in May, I need to reorganize my linen closet, storage room, and walk-in storage closet. I know now what I need here, so I am sure I can purge more stuff.

We normally start a light purge and a deep clean over break because DH usually takes 2-3 weeks off but I’m waiting until later because we have extra kids this week and we leave for Disney on the 3rd. But DD got up yesterday and spent the entire day gutting her room. She filled 2 trash bags, 2 trash bags full of clothes to donate and DH moved a rod from one closet to the other for more hanging space, hung her artwork and he’s working on rewiring the lights on her mirror. In doing all that I was able to fold the 5 hampers of laundry piled up in my room and get it all put away. Most of it was hers anyway. Now she knows where we need to fill in the gaps for clothing, specifically formal attire for sports banquets and a few upcoming parties.
Next up when we get back from Florida I’m purging my craft stuff. It got moved into my room when we took our exchange student in but I really want to get rid of stuff I’m not going to use. I don’t want a million unfinished projects kicking around.

I need to do a massive purge, especially in my craft room/office and my closet.
Really, my issue is that I save too much stuff “just in case I may use it or need it someday.” Things like empty storage containers, older craft supplies, unused/unopened supplies, or clothes with tags.
I need to really go through and get rid of a lot of stuff that I’m hanging to just because or just in case.
