I'm attending a retreat and hope to finish my 2022 PL & OLW albums. Set up my 2023 OLW album and complete the January prompt. Make the cover page for 2023 PL album. Decide what size album I want to use for DD 2022 and start printing pictures.

my January goals:
-print the December photos, organise by layout, and get them scrapped -pick a trip album, organise the photos, and start scrapping -transcribe at least one travel journal -spend at least 4 hours working on labelling and organising photos -do at least one lesson from the classes I've bought

I have 3 days of a retreat and then a one day crop in January so my goal is my Christmas photos. That is all of December essentially. I don't even know if that is realistic because I have 2dgds to scrap for and my 2 boys I do a few pages for.
I can get 15 done on the one day crop and on the retreat I am going to try for 50. This might get about half of them done haha!

January: Get my OLW set up and January's prompts done, finish the six-page layout I started last month. If I'm feeling really ambitious, get some more pics printed.

My plan for THIS year was just to get my room cleaned up from the last two months. It took about four hours, but I put everything away, found some new storage, packed a big box of old storage (and other small things), and have it in my vehicle for January 6th when the second hand craft store is taking donations again.
Then I'll print off pics from 2022 and get scrapping.

Monthly 2022 - Oct - Nov - Dec - Title Page - Setup folders for 2023 - Data mine for older years. I'm thinking Netflix and Prime viewing history, movie ticket emails. - Pick an older year to work on this year. If I could finish 2022 this month I would feel so proud of myself. I need to delete Instagram. It sucks time and makes me think I suck at everything.

My goals for January are:
1. Finish organizing my albums and putting layouts away.
2. Create the next batch of rocket launch pages.
3. No spend January! So far, so good. 😉
4. I need to create 50 layouts before I can buy any new goodies, so I am ready to start creating. Hopefully a can knock out a few layouts this month. Currently at 0/50.

I have a 3 day crop at the end of the month. I have everything to complete my 2022 PL album ready to go. I hope to have it done before then so I can get my 2023 started during the crop. Plus, I need to be proactive and get some birthday cards started for this year so I’m not scrambling at the last minute. Those are January goals.
I’d also like to really figure out how to make my craft space more efficient.

You guys, I think I'm just going to take a bit of a break.
I want to clean up our shared office before I start something new. I have a desk I don't use and my husband has a desk that closes and it's full to the brim with stuff because he's not organized. I think I'm going to make him get rid of that as well. I might take it over and store my sewing machine inside. Haven't decided yet.
I just feel so tired right now.
I want to read some books. I think that's what I need to do.

I have a 5-day retreat at the end of the month - yay for dedicated scrappy time!
I hope to complete these pages (they are really all over the place in terms of dates): -Christmas 2022 -Nephew's Marine retirement + floating the river weekend trip from Sept 2022 -Sea World + San Antonio + Galveston trip from 2006 (somehow I just found these pics!) -DS 17th bday pics (I have all other bdays done from 1 - age 20 but missed these) -Thanksgiving 2017 -Some college pics from DS -Other random pics I have set aside to scrap -Valentine/Easter/B-Day cards
I usually get around 45-50 pages done during retreats - hoping to get a few more done this time.

I have big life changes happening soon so I'm limiting my crafty commitments for the first half of 2023. I figure I could participate with monthly goals since I'm the only person it will affect if I'm unable to keep up with them! My goal isn't to finish these in January, but to narrow my choices to: - Create 8 layouts (2 completed)
- Create 6 cards (3 birthday, 3 thank you,
5 valentine) 26 valentine cards done! - 2023 OLW project (January prompt)
Take note of things to use in a monthly digest type layout (January) done!- Work on 2021 Washington trip (6x8 album)
- Organize die cut felt into an envelope "filing" system
Organize metal dies into 3 categories (stitching, holiday, other) done!Edit/purge scrap patterned paper to fit into 1 container (it's currently in 2) done!- Edit/purge glitter box
- Edit/purge beads/charms
Put away new embroidery floss (put away duplicate colors & spool new colors) done!- Print/adhere labels for ink pads
- Create swatch book for ink pads

Just Do It! January: •work on my 2021 JYC/DD album •complete page kits that I had prepped for We Create 2022 (at a crop I’m going to) •spending Frost for January - cut back on what I’m buying and bringing into my stash, since I’m running out of room! •make 2023 desk calendars •2022 year in review LO w calendar photos •complete 13 pages total
More scrapping, less scrolling and shopping!

I crafted!!!!!!! Like for real - not just threw a card together because I needed one. It felt good!
I crafted - in my ( new ) Studio - all evening long - I created & printed my memory planner Jan-June and I did the January month spread. Stamped the borders filled in this week.
It felt good - now that it’s midnight I’ll get to sleep. Good thing it’s work from home tomorrow & I just have to roll out of bed by 7:30.
Honestly I haven’t really kept up with my memory planner since I moved. I barely finished Jan - June 2022 right after moving. Never did a cover. That’s pretty much where I stopped. I have notes & such if I want to go back but I might just do highlights not sure. We shall see what happens.
I’m having trouble finding things, not everything is unpacked and I haven’t used stuff so I don’t exactly recall where I put what I did unpack. I unpacked some of it months ago and don’t remember what is where. I’m sure adjustments will be coming to my space as I get into the swing of things.
Whooo hooo I’m happy & a little bit proud of myself, content too ( is it too much ? )

I could have sworn that I'd posted on this thread. Weird.
My scrappy goal was to complete MOC (Month of Challenges) at The Lilypad. They post a new challenge every day. It's only the 11th January, and I am already five days behind hahaha. And when I saw the challenge for Day 10, I decided to tap out.
"Using our photos and words to look back so we can move forward. Today, we are going to reflect on things in our past, use them to gain insight into lessons we learned, how they have shaped how we now view or experience things, and how we can take that understanding into the coming year. We will use photos and words to convey this message."
I enjoy scrapping events and daily life, the little things. I'm not into deep and meaningful journaling. And I cannot think of a single thing in my life that fits this category.
I actually feel relief now that I have decided to pull the pin on MOC. It means I can start on my 2023 Project Life, and also start preparing for my 28-4-28 layouts. I will still do some of the MOC challenges, if they take my fancy.

I'm doing Project Life for the first time ever in 2023! My goal is to keep up with it, but I am already failing at that. I took more than enough pics for the first week, but then I got busy with freelance writing work and failed to make the layouts. (And I should be working on either the aforementioned articles or layouts instead of posting here...) I also want to continue scrapping past adventures this month.

I took more than enough photos as well. I have 27 photos from the first week that I want to include, but I think I'm going to try to whittle it down a bit.

I didn't count how many pics I took, but I definitely need to whittle down the numbers I'll use on my pages. I took something like a few dozen pics of our first blizzard of the year. I think the snow pics are pretty, but I do not need multiple pages of them. Just a few will suffice.

As AussieMeg mentioned, TLP is running their MOC contest this month so my biggest goal for January is to complete all 31 layouts by February 2. I did complete my Countdown to Christmas album (aside from the cover) last month so that's off my to-do list. I have one page left for our vacation album and since I forgot to take a photo of the place we rented & they took their listing down, I need to come up with one more idea to finish it off so I can have both albums ready to be printed at Shutterfly. I still haven't had time to have my laptop & EHD fixed so maybe that will happen this month? My partner is job searching so that he can move to town (and in with me) so a lot of my focus has been on those processes & him rather than scrapping.

Goal- get 2017 and 2018 pictures and cards in a PL album. So far 2017 - done, halfway through 2018 - - update — all of 2018 is printed and in the album. Just need to start embellishing. . Next I’ll go back and embellish. Keeping it simple so I can get it done.
Goal - do the same with 2019 and 2022 PL. this will take me a while. Long term goal.
Goal - 2023 PL. still planning on using a 9x12 album. Hoping to stay reasonably caught up.
Goal - 12x12 one and two page layouts. I have a list of topics/events to scrap. I would like to burn through some of my stash. Try and work on 1-2 each weekend I get to scrap.
Goal - add to my girls weekend and summer vacation mini albums. I scrap each year and put it into a citrus twist album.
Goal - start a mini album for each daughter if the sport highlights. Haven’t thought too much about format. I have so many albums in my stash.
We will see what I can accomplish. I tend to scrap and work on projects that peak my interest and bounce back and forth between albums.

Congrats to everyone who has recently finished major projects. myboysnme, yours is especially impressive. Just wow!
How's everyone doing with goals so far this month?
I'm caught up with taking Project Life pics for the month but behind with actually making the layouts, because I am still waffling about what format to use. I need to decide already and get to it!
