Hey team! How's everyone doing? I'm sorry I'm not good at keeping this thread chatty lol. I don't post a lot through the week, but I do check in, so if anyone has questions or anything feel free to tag me.
Any scrappy plans this weekend? I'm not sure, I know Sunday will be dedicated to NFL football, and I'm not sure if my DGS will want to have a sleep over.
How is the new point system going for you? Are you going to tally each month as we go? The regular challenges will reset on Feb 1st so that you can use again and get points for any you have already met. I think I would like to see if I can keep going on the ones I haven't met yet this month, so I won't be resetting my sheets.

I used a "J" instead of a checkmark, so I can use the same printout and start marking "F".
Not a big crafty weekend for me; need to catch up on the rest of life a bit. I will be going to a craft evening Wednesday, so I'm mostly making sure I've got portable projects ready for that.

Just a quick reminder about the February reset coming...copy and pasted from grammadee - she explains things way better than I do lol. Q-1 challenges: Count up your checkmarks for the month of January, then reset. Either print the challenge list again, or use a different colour for February. We get to check--and count--each challenge again, one time, for a February point. 28-4-28: Each challenge is worth 5 points (with a bonus of 2 points if the Twist is used). ALSO: each 28-4-28 challenge completed can add one more checkmark to your February total. Shakti a craft evening in the middle of the week sounds like a nice break. I get together with one of my nieces on a video call on Tuesday's, I really look forward to it. And on second thought, I'm totally resetting my challenges because....points! lol.

Morning Team Glue! I am late to the party check in☺️. I have been scrapping since 1995, almost always in the 12x12 format. My goals this year is to scrap more, spend less. And I always fail. Lol. This is the second year of retirement for me and we are still settling in to our new home. Setting up a craft corner in the basement. I have many many pics to scrap. Our two sons were married in July and September. Our DD and SIL are pregnant (first grandbaby!!!) and our youngest DD got engaged in December. Can you say pictures!?!?!? I have been scrapping and going to a weekend crop in 2 weeks. Will be re-reading those rules☺️ Have a great Sunday!

Wow ss how exciting! Congrats on your first grandbaby! It's the most amazing thing to hold a child that your child is the parent of. It's the best and I love being a grandma, a little jealous that you are getting 2. I have one DGS and he's 8. My mantra is "make more, spend less" every year, but I don't listen lol.

So, with the regular points I asked a lot of questions to be sure I was legitimately claiming points. For the monthly categorized (P- for product, C- for color, etc) challenges do I just use my best judgement as to whether I met a challenge?

Good Tuesday morning, Crew! Are you excited for February?
I did my homework, and calculated my January total. Now I can start February with a fresh new sheet of challenges. Starting out a month, I just do "whatever" and then, when it's done, check off the challenges I actually met. Near the end of the month, I find I am looking for ways to meet the remaining unchecked challenges.
And this next month we get to play along with 28-4-28, which gives us a new challenge every day. First one is dropping this evening...

Happy Monday? Crew! lol Is anyone playing along with 28-4-28 challenges? I really love how loose they are this year and feel really achievable. Well, except for your first one grammadee. I've got the photo and title but only using 2 pieces of paper is hard! I haven't give up, just haven't found the right paper/sketch combo I think. The weather is getting beautiful and it's hard to stay inside. 65 today, and I wish I was off work lol. I hope everyone one is having a good quarter thus far and are meeting their creative goals!

I've got the photo and title but only using 2 pieces of paper is hard! I haven't give up, just haven't found the right paper/sketch combo I think. Sorry! I started with that one exactly BECAUSE it was simple. No need to make THE scrapbook page; just A scrapbook page. Channel your inner Shimelle, and grab two papers that pick up--or contrast with--a couple of colours in your photo. Check out the people who have already done that challenge: lots of different page plans, there! I have six of the challenges completed--but THREE of them are for my days later in the month. Hoping to take on jediannie's day 3 challenge today. The reason I have not completed classes is b/c something about them scared me off, so going back to those classes, I need to shake that off. Again, I don't need to make THE page... just A page... Might even turn that day's challenge into a card, instead.

Hey guys, love seeing all your work in the sharing and 28-4-28 threads! I am compiling my layouts for the weekend. I'm not sure how much scrapping I will get to. After a brief lull in activity, my family is suddenly around planning my time lol.
Sleepover with DGS this weekend and then the SuperBowl. Go Chiefs!!! LOL.
There is a twist to pop into a crop and say Hi for extra points this month. There will be crop threads popping up every weekend soon, so I hope you'll consider stopping in to say hi and meet some peas.

I’m working my way through the daily challenges… even if it means just pondering and planning them for now. Sometimes letting them pile up a bit helps, because you can combine two challenges or an idea sparks from something else. I also get inspired by everyone else’s takes on the challenges!
Besides scrapping, it’s a big sports weekend over here (not for me… but dh has been watching college basketball, golf, and then tomorrow is the Super Bowl.) I’m happy to just lounge around and think about scrapping 😂

Shakti , life never fails to derail my plans. That's one thing I like about the Quarterly teams, when you need that slowdown or halt for a bit, there are still weeks left to create this quarter Thank goodness for me lol. DGS is still snoozing at the moment, but we will be eating sugar for breakfast and getting out to play Pokemon go later this morning lol

Good Wednesday evening, Glue Crew! I am back home after a weekend away with family and have scrapped some of the photos already, so I am a happy scrapper.
How ya doin' with 28-4-28? I didn't put any pressure on myself to complete all 28 challenges, but so far, I am caught up except for one, so maybe that completion bonus is in my sites? Need to start scoring the pages and cards I have completed so far this month, though.
Hosted a couple of mid week crops so far, and hope to get another one going next Wednesday. Don't forget you can rack up double points for crafting while chatting with others, so if you can join me--or any of the other 2Peas crop hosts--jump onto a crop and say HI.

Hey team, anyone still with me? LOL! No pressure, but if anyone wants to chat, has questions, we're here.
Man I've had a busy couple weeks with family, various family members on various nights hanging out together. DGS has belt test and is now a green belt in Karate. The time just goes so fast. I have a long weekend coming and lots of pages I want to get done for the 28-4-28 challenges.
I'll also be hosting a crop Saturday evening from 7-11 EST time if anyone is interested in joining in!
I hope everyone is having a good month filled with love and fun. We have gorgeous weather here until tomorrow.
If you are partaking in the 28-4-28 challenges, how is that going? Did you have a goal for this month?

Good Saturday morning, Crew! How are you doing with the challenges, joyfulnana. Hope you are having fun and getting lots of pages done during this personal scrappy retreat. I am going to try to join your evening crop for a chat. The light is bad in here for evening scrapping and by then my eyes aren't so great, either! I have been scrapping a LOT this month, and am almost up to date on the challenges. We have until March 7th to claim the bonus, so I should be able to bring that home for the team. I am also spending time going through all my albums, extricating pages. Two of my dgd's will graduate from high school in the next two years, and they have asked for scrapbooks. So I am pulling any pages that refer to either or both of them. So far, I have four years of pages at the printers, and eight years of pages in tubs ready to go. Somehow I still have the earliest and most recent albums to go... It's not the most exciting part of the scrapping process, but I am enjoying reliving the memories recorded on those pages and envisioning their reliving them later.

I love that you do these books for the grands grammadee. I seldom look through my albums, but I'm always so happy looking through them when I do. Yay on getting the bonus. I am just getting started on them, but if we have until March 7th and I combine some...... ha! I know myself better than that lol. I hope everyone is has a great week!

I had been planning a card for DK(kid)'s birthday (2/7) for weeks, but held off starting it until February to get the "open a new product" point. By the time February arrived, I got caught up in the SLoC and other challenges and almost forgot to make it!
So I stepped back a little from challenges; the one 28-4-28 I did was incidental. I just made my projects and then treated that list like the main challenge list -- just went down the list after the fact and saw what I could claim points for.

Hey everyone, if you are working on completing all of the challenges for the 28-4-28 for the big bonus points, you have until the end of day March 7th. Otherwise, everything you did do this month counts!

I’ve been in a scrapping rut for a while and busy so far this year, but last weekend I decided I wanted to scrap. I looked at the 28-4-28 challenges and thought “hey, I bet I can do them ALL in the next couple of weeks” and got started. I’ve been on a roll, completed several layouts over the last two weekends, and I only have seven more of the challenges to do—AND I’m almost done with a layout that captures 2 or 3 of them! I may be able to do all 28 by March 7th!!
Plus, I participated in the Valentine’s Day card swap and made a bunch of cards! After two quarters of being a team dud, I’m finally back in the game!
How is everyone else doing this quarter?

I did it! I finished up the challenges over the weekend.
I added up the points and including the points I got for twists and adding the 500 bonus, it came to 666. Not sure what that means, but I’ll take it!
I need to share some of the layouts on the sharing thread. I haven’t taken any pictures of the yet.
Now I’m working on the sketchy Saturday layout from March 4th!

Hey team! How is everyone else doing? Are you quietly crafting this quarter and getting lots done or are you feeling mojo-less or like me, antsy to be outside enjoying the weather? We are swinging wildly between 60-70 degree days and days that are cold, rainy and in the 40's lol. Question: If you have a prolonged time of no mojo, do you just wait for it to come back, or do you have a way to coax it out to play? Do you have creative habits that signal it's time to play and make something? Looking through my supplies, or my photos will nearly always spark a story or page for me. Other times my stash feels like too much and I just walk away from it. Wow ComplicatedLady way to go! Congrats, that's huge! I have been a pokey pokey pea this quarter and haven't done much. I'm starting to feel like a poser LOL! Ater a busy weekend with DGS I'm ready to scrap tonight for a couple of hours with my niece over FB. I'll be working on my 2023 PL. I have a stack of supplies and sketches out as well and need to organize them so I can do those 28-4-28 challenges this quarter. I hope everyone is having a great start to the week!

I have been telling everyone I have a 28-4-28 hangover. Have just three pages done since finishing for the bonus. I have my box from SCT Crop & Create cardmaking event, but can't seem to get into the prep work for those classes either. My grandmother used to call this moving "like molasses in January". I feel more like a clogged up Novo drops bottle. Lots of ideas, but can't get them out...
How is everyone else doing?

I completed the March SLoC (shared in the March SLoC thread in Stamping & Cardmaking) this morning before work. Spent some time working on that and also trying to get into the C&C stuff over the weekend -- need to update my points.
This is my first C&C and I find myself both overwhelmed (So much prework to do! ! So much stuff to organize! So many color product swaps to figure out!) and underwhelmed (so far I'd say no more than half the projects are really floating my boat and many of those classes are going to be in the evening when I'm past my prime). I also think I may have made a misstep or two right out of the box, so to speak. I don't like the way I started to organize it all and now I have to figure out how to pivot and get going out of the corner I sort of backed myself into.
And I do have other things I want to do by the end of March -- my DS's birthday is the 21st and Cards for Cubs need to be sent by the 31st.

Hey there team! Whew sorry I've been so MIA - life has been a little whirlwind-ish lately lol. I can't believe we are almost through the first Quarter of the year! Now I have to tally points lol. For those interested in playing along next month, there will be new signs up soon! You can post your points here in the thread, or in the points collection thread when you are ready! Have a great weekend and happy crafting!

So, I survived my first Crop & Create this weekends -- it was definitely intense!
At the lunch break yesterday, having created a nice, masculine birthday card, I opened my birthday book to look up my BIL's birthday and realized I'd missed his daughter's earlier this month. I felt terrible. DH pointed out that I haven't been sending cards before I started making them this year, so she probably wouldn't notice. But I figured I couldn't send her dad one if I didn't fix that.
So this morning I took card I'd completed except for sentiments during one of Saturday's classes, popped a Happy Birthday on the front and a lovely belated birthday inside sentiment into it and it will go out today.
I still need to make two more kid-friendly birthday cards by the end of the week if I want to donate the 8 from this month's SLoC challenge to Cards for Cubs and get the bonus points. I was surprised that none of the C&C cards I made were appropriate for that. I'm thinking I should be able to manage to sneak a tiny bit more craft time in the mornings during the work week.
