donna was a long time Pea who was taken from us long before her time. Her last scrapbooking effort had been to complete her kids' albums before time ran out. Many Peas, coordinated by jenjie and myboysnme , helped with that project. A Pea we have not heard from in a long while, kiwigirl , set up this challenge to keep Donna's memory alive. So now we honour Donna's memory by getting our own photos onto scrapbook pages while WE have time to do that. Each month we set a challenge to get those photos glued onto pages. And we also have a theme
This challenge is open to anyone, but if you are a member of a challenge team looking for points:
ONE point for EACH photo you scrap in January 2023. TEN points for meeting the January Donna theme on your project
January 2023 DONNA Theme: Sunshine Songs! In my part of the world we are just noticing the sun gracing us with a few more minutes of light each day after our winter solstice celebrations calling for him to return to us. South of the equator, you are glorying in long sunny days right now. This month's challenge is to use the title or lyrics of a song referencing sunshine somewhere on your page. A title or subtitle like "You are my SUNSHINE", or "Here comes the SUN!" would work.
I hope to get a sample up in the next few days...

grammadee I must be on Benadryl again this morning. I only see two themes but the challenge says three. 1 - 1 point for each photo scrapped 2 - Theme is Sunshine Songs 3 - Sorry to be dense! Two ways to earn points: one point for each photo scrapped this month, no matter the theme. ten points for scrapping on this theme (sunshine songs), no matter how many photos. I often copy and paste when posting a challenge the next month, but I don’t see where I said three here?

M-1: Donna Challenge. donna was a Pea who passed away much too soon. We all remember her desire to complete her family scrapbooks at the end. To honour her, we credit photos, scrapped, pages completed and meeting scrapbooking goals. For the Donna challenge, earn One point per photo scrapped. Ten points per page created with each monthly theme. Bonus of 25 points for meeting all three themes.

All three monthly themes of the quarter. So the January, February AND the March theme. I can change that in the challenge thread.

Here is my sample. No idea who the original artist was or even the title of the song that has been floating around in my head since I posted this challenge. "We had joy; we had fun; we had seasons in the sun" are some of the lyrics. I know it goes south from there with a story of lost love, but I wanted to illustrate the JOY and FUN as ds's family reacted to the cancelling of their planned vacation in Mexico and turned it into an adventure in Palm Springs instead. I was just talking about that song on a local Facebook group the other day grammadee . Back in the late 70s or early 80s, there was a version of it going around here, with the words changed into a cricket song when the English cricket team were out here. I love the Theme for January. I think I might use the title "Good Day Sunshine" on a layout.
