I usually print photos every 2-3 months and try to keep up with at least the ordering and organizing them. This last year I failed. I just finished ordering photos for all of 2022. I sent in 454 photos. I'd say that at least 120 are photos of our home improvement and those will all just go in sleeves and not actually be scrapped.
So I'm thinking I have about 330 photos. (I do 2 of most photos since I do two of mostly the same book.)
I think I did pretty well since probably 1/3 of those are wedding photos.
So how many photos a year do you print?

Good question! I don't print out photos, but I can work out how many photos I would scrap in a year, that would have to be printed if I were a paper scrapper instead of digital.
As a rough estimate: 380 photos for my Project Life album 50 photos for Christmas / New Year / Easter etc 100 photos for our trips to the beach and the river 20 photos for family birthdays 20 photos for various dinners / concerts and similar events
That comes to 570 photos that would need to be printed if I were a paper scrapper. I think that's on the conservative side. It depends on how often we go away during the year. This year we have a 2.5 week overseas trip planned, so there will be a lot more photos than normal.

I was going to say 50 a month but I went and looked at my Walgreens account and I print probably 200 a month minimum.
For Dec I had almost 500 photos. Now some of these are doubles but because I put 2 photos on a 4x6 there are really twice as many.
I can see now why my scrapping has become so hard. That many photos is extreme.
I do print every week at least.

The kids still like to vacation with us, so I do get some good vacation photos.

I only print photos a couple of times a year, sometimes only once a year. I only print photos that I might put on a scrapbook page some day. - If we take a big vacation trip, I may print 200-500 photos from the trip - depends on how interesting and long the trip is. - In addition to travel photos, I print about 200 photos a year, which includes holidays and birthdays as well as everyday kind of stuff - like photos at a basketball game, nature hike photos, etc.

In previous years I would order about that many in vacation photos. I think it will be more manageable for me this year.

I would guess between 150-200. I've never kept track before and don't print photos often. If we don't go on any trips, then it might be more like 100-150. I'm not a prolific photo taker. Often times I forget to take them, but had I remembered to I would have.

I only print photos that I think I will scrap. I might print multiple sizes of some photos and there are always some that just don't make it onto the page. When I was scrapbooking a lot, I would say I had printed about 300 a year, more if we went on a long trip.
Until the very end of last year, I'd probably had less than 100 printed for 2022. At the end of the year, I did over 100 in one order. Some of those may not make it to a scrapbook but they were something I really didn't want to lose. I thought the photos were missing and realized I'd taken them with my tablet and they weren't backed up anywhere. So I now have them backed up on drive, stored online and printed.

I picked up my order today and separated the pictures into event piles. Those all got put into baggies with a sketch and paper to match this evening. Twenty-four of them were of Christmas decorations. I put those into divided sleeves and put them with the Christmas decorations. I usually have 5-6 people helping with decorations, so having a photo of each area with the tote of items will speed up decorating. My DILs love to help but aren't sure how I usually put stuff. I tell them to just be creative and they mostly just set stuff up where they remember it from last year.

You have fun with that.

This is one thing I have never counted or figured out. I don’t think I want to. 😂

Right now, it would be under 50 to scrap full layouts or put into sleeves in chronological books. Maybe even more like 20-30. But I think not having any kids to scrap (except for teenage nephew) contributes to low number.
For my stop the blur style journal, its all mini photos and anywhere from 6-12 for a given week on 1 or 2 4x6, but I don't do it every single week.
For trips I do digital/photobooks.
I purposefully stopped printing so many photos for a variety of reasons, but mainly so I would not feel like I had to scrap everything. Being super selective has worked for me to enjoy the hobby more. Honestly seeing 200-300+ gives me anxiety!

This is one thing I have never counted or figured out. I don’t think I want to. 😂 I haven't either. It was just a one off that I was too busy (or put off?) ordering prints for an entire year. I did realize that I have several family albums on my phone that have some great pictures I want to add to the count.

Probably over 1500...but that includes pics from at least one vacation and one extended family fun weekend. And I find it super hard to sort/weed out pics on the computer, so I order pics of everything I take and then choose which ones to scrap. It's wasteful and not like me, but I have to have the physical print in front of me before I can decide if it's album worthy!

I just ordered November and December's photos and that is about 50... so an entire year would be about 300, add in a vacation or two and special events... maybe 600-700?

I have no idea but I'd probably guess it in the 500-600 range.
Next year I'll keep track of it, just out of curiosity.
I do print out about every photo that is on my phone (except the ones that I delete). I know a lot of people print as they go but I am still old school- I have digital back ups but I like having a physical copy, too.

I only print what I'm ready to scrap and I print the size that I need so lots of collages on 4x6s.
I stopped printing "everything" many years ago when it became so much easier to print to size. I am a planner and almost always pick my sketch and know the exact size I need ahead of time. This makes it way easier for me to scrap, especially since I like to include many photos on 1 pg LOs.

I usually sit down at my computer and plan layouts prior to ordering photos. This year I just let it all get ahead of me. I have a little printer at home that I can go back and run some smaller prints when needed,

This is an interesting question. I print on demand for my PL album and just did a quick count through two months, where I printed just under 100 photos, so around 600 for the year. If I take a vacation I'd have a lot more.
