I'm very sad that the Costco online photo center was closing. (And I was sad when the in store photo centers closed.)
I've gotten my photo Christmas cards from Costco for many years. And it was so convenient to upload photos and pick them up the same/next day, even enlargements. Shipping for 4x6 photos was free so that took some of the sting away from not being able to pick them up immediately.
Not sure who I'm going to use now. Costco members now get a discount at Shutterfly, but no more free shipping on 4x6 photos. Maybe it is time to get a photo printer for at home.

I wasn't aware they were closing. Their site still allows you to upload and order prints. Did you get an email with a date of when they will shut down?
***Never mind, just checked and saw the email. So disappointing! I haven't been happy with Shutterfly in the past.

I was very unhappy with my last order from Shutterfly. The color was washed out and the paper was so cheap! I haven't ordered from the since.

You can still order photos from Costco in Canada at this point.

Lots of curse words coming out of my mouth now. Guess the next 2 weeks is gonna be LOT of photo editing and uploading. It's the most horrible time of the year....

It’s frustrating, but I did notice in the email that Shutterfly is guaranteeing satisfaction, so if you get your order and it isn’t good enough, hopefully you can get a refund or a redo. It’s probably worth a try, anyway.
It’s definitely upsetting, though.

I have been ordering photos from Costco since 2009 and did not get "the email." I even logged in to put in my last photo order, and no notification... I'm glad I have this board or I'd never have known it was closing.
I love their photos:(

Darn, I am a last minute person and I'd always order my Christmas or New Year's Day cards from Costco, the prices were so good. Last time I ordered Christmas cards from Shutterfly it took forever to receive. Unfortunately, I never plan well and loved how quick and well priced Costco was.

Here's the fine print on the Costco discount:
¹ Offer is good for 51% off regular-priced orders and for free economy shipping on orders of $49 or more (after any other discounts and before taxes) shipped within the U.S. only for current Costco members only through shutterfly.com or the Shutterfly app. Must be logged into Costco membership account for discount to automatically be applied. Not valid on sale prices, other shipping methods, 4x4 and 4x6 prints on app, annual or prepaid plans, video plans, gift cards, cards sent using mailing services, designer review services, orders placed for in-store pick up, other products and prior purchases. Promo for 51% off regular-priced orders cannot be combined with other code-based %-off or $-off offers. Taxes, shipping and handling may apply. Orders with multiple recipients will receive one discount applied to the shipment with the highest shipping cost. Not valid for resale. Offer cannot be redeemed for cash. Shutterfly may modify or replace any part of these terms and conditions without notice at any time. Shutterfly may refuse or cancel orders due to promo and pricing errors, fraud, misuse, or unauthorized use.

Costco has been my photo printer for so long, I don't know where else to get photos printed. I tried Shutterfly a few times but I haven't been impressed with their quality. I'm wondering what you all will do -- order through Shutterfly or somewhere else?
