Those are nice. But honestly, I'm not willing to pay that for the little bit of snow we get here. I mean sometimes we have had blizzards -- the Snowpocalypse kind, lol -- but those are rare. If we lived in snow country I'd get myself a really good pair of tall boots like these LLBean ones. But here what we get is the kind of snow that leaves a few inches and then turns to icky cold slushy muck. ugh. So I need a warm waterproof boot that's a bit taller than ankle high but now up to my knees. And I want to be able to slip them on and off easily because I hate dealing with laces. I hear you! I live in LLBean country and got mine at the outlet store for cheap. There used to be an LLBean outlet store at the outlet mall at Rehoboth Beach, but sadly they closed years ago. We've gone to Bethany almost every summer for years and a trip to Rehoboth was always part of our week, lol. The best pants I've ever owned came from there. I wore those for years till they finally just wore out. We miss that outlet store! Anyway, the closest LLBean outlet to me is several hours away now.

Can you not shovel or snow blow out a spot in the yard for the dog? That’s what I have to do because my dog’s legs are literally less than 6” long, so even a 2” snowfall is problematic, LOL. I shovel out about a 8’ square of the yard off the deck for her to go to and that’s where I stand too. I keep the shovel right next to the patio door for easy access. She's lab and loves to run and play in the snow. But at times I need to 'go get her' because she can be an idiot outside. LOL LOL we have one of those too. That’s what Invisible Fence was made for! During the day I just let mine out with his collar on and I don’t care when he comes back to the door to come in (Arlo cameras are great for that purpose, LOL). At night when I don’t want to deal with waiting for him to come back or don’t want him barking his fool freaking head off at the back of our two acre yard bugging our neighbors behind us, I put his dumb ass on a 16’ retractable leash. That way he knows he HAS to come back when I say so. Best of both worlds IMO.
