I want to switch from single gifts for each family member to one gift for the entire family. Reason being I'm tired of my sisters claiming broke when I want to travel so my gift to them will be sister vacations. The kids will suffer *evil laugh* Would your family prefer: Movie tickets and restaurant gift cards Ice cream Maker and small related items (i.e. Tovolo Glide-A-Scoop Ice Cream Tub - Pistachio www.amazon.com/dp/B00EDHE4ZI/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_8AFHub0ZEKR1G)Do you have any good ideas for family gifts? Happy Holidays

Year membership to a nearby zoo or museum is a fun one, if they will have the time to visit it.
I like the movie ticket g/c & restaurant g/c too.

I think they both sound good. You know your family best.

Unless it's something specifically asked for, our family gifts tend to be consumables, so the movie tickets and gift certificates would be my choice.

One family has really young children so the zoo would be a perfect gift for them. I also didn't want to get every family the same thing so thanks for the suggestions!

You could just buy for the kids and give your sisters an IOU coupon for a vacation as their gift. Movie passes are always nice too!

Another family here who'd love movie tickets and restaurant gift cards! We like to visit our local Cinemark on Thursday when they have early release movies. The theatre is mostly empty and we get to be loud without bothering anyone.
Oh, I once received a popcorn gift basket that had flavored popcorn, single serving bowls, large bowl and popcorn seasonings. The popcorn is long gone but we still regularly use the bowls when we have our family movie nights at home. You could make it as elaborate as your spending allowance will afford by adding a movie/s (Elf, Princess Bride, Miracle on 34th, etc) and boxed candy like Lemonheads, Raisinettees, etc...

Every year I can 12 quarts of peaches for each niece & their families as well as bake the putzy, fiddly cookies that they love. I have 2 nieces & both are married and working full time. They say that this is the best gift for them.

We'd love receiving any of those things as a family gift. Other ideas:
- Membership to zoo, museum, local pool or waterpark, etc. - Passes to a place like Pump it Up or an indoor trampoline park or local children's play place (depending on the ages) - Depending where they live, a day in the city or something like that. For example, if they lived in the suburbs of Chicago, then passes to take the train in, museum passes, restaurant gift certificate, etc. If your budget was high enough, a hotel for a night. You could adjust it to nearly any city nearby where they live
