I absolutely love when new lines are posted here. Those are some of my favorite threads. I've noticed that with some companies I want to buy every piece of it and with other companies I rarely find something that appeals to me.
For example, I rarely like Echo Park. It isn't that their lines are bad, they are just repetitive. I have bought Echo Park in the past but it feels like all of the new lines they put out (and they put out a crazy amount of them) just remind me of something I already own. I do buy some Carta Bella- I like the florals and a lot of the Steven Duncan stuff, and love the texture- but a lot of their stuff doesn't appeal to me, either.
I do tend to buy Photoplay, though, because they seem to have more "out of the box" themes and I am able to find stuff that doesn't remind me of something I already have.
Which manufacturers are usually hits for you? Which manufacturers are usually misses?

Since I sub to Ali E and Heidi Swapp, I have become more choosy about other lines. I like some of the 49 and Market from the past year and their quality is so good. I also really love Geralyn (In a Creative Bubble) designs for PinkFresh Studio, but I don't tend to like there other lines. Otherwise, I like some Carta Bella older lines (usually beach, July, travel) and I loved Authentique which I can still find a few places but miss terribly. I will also shop old Crate Paper and Pebbles, but otherwise, not a lot of new lines I like. I will get an occasional Photoplay if it is relevant to a project.

Echo Park, but it's so repetitive and pink and that I almost don't even look anymore, it is also mainly what my localish scrapbook store sells which is annoying.
Simple Stories and Fancy Pants have been my brands lately, with an occasional (not entire collections, it's usually too busy) paper from Photoplay. And I really like the basics papers from 49th and Market... the watercolor papers with words peeking out are my jam.
I haven't bought any Doodlebug in probably ten years. It's soooo cutesy and doesn't blend with other brands very well, which is how I scrap. I think I did buy something from Graphic 45 recently because it had fish on it, otherwise I rarely buy them either.

Least favorite: definitely Simple Stories. I really don’t like most of their collections, and I hate their font they always use. Just something about them gives me the ick.
Other dislikes are anything overly vintagey, overly flowery (think most Prima lines, Mintay, and even 49 & Market).
Favorites: I like a variety of manufacturers and lines, but I can’t say I have a distinct favorite. I generally like American Crafts designers, Photoplay, etc. but I’m on a lower budget, so I bargain hunt and never buy the newest collections.

I do like Simple Stories. I also like 49 & Market and Mintay. I usually don't like Prima but I did like their Halloween and Christmas line this year. I'm glad that there are still a (small) variety of manufacturers left. If not either you or me would be out of luck.

And you and I feel the same way about Doodlebug, I think. Oh I forgot another unpopular opinion… I am never drawn to Vicki Boutin collections. Way too bright and messy for me, lol.

That's amazing- we have opposite tastes. That's what I love about our hobby: how a put-off for one scrapper is a must-have for another. I'm pretty "main stream" myself. I feel like manufacturers are marketing to me a lot of the time! I think my favourite style is Cocoa Vanilla - clean and bold but they avoid the "childlike" overly cute vibe of Doodlebug. Having said that, I have been buying Doodlebug a bit again, enjoying the pop of colour and whimsy. Echo Park is also childlike but their colours miss the mark for me. Photoplay is really hit or miss for me as is Simple Stories - I just bought their pet line, but don't like their "vintage" lines. I dislike Graphic 45 style. The new 49 and market is a tad too soft (although I bought all of spectrum sherbet). Vicky B. usually appeals to me and I really like Pink Fresh ephemera and alphas!

My favorite company used to be Simple Stories, but not lately. Not really a fan of most of the things I see. I really like the lines from Cocoa Vanilla but haven't really bought any so I don't know what they are like in person. My least favorite is anything vintage.

I also love checking out all the new lines, even the brands I know I'm not going to buy from.
My favourite is probably Cocoa Vanilla. While I don't always love every piece in every collection I find a lot of it is really easy to use, the colours are totally in my wheelhouse, and it's a small thing, but I love that being Australian she uses our spelling on words like favourite and colour.
I don't think there are any other brands I buy as consistently as CV.
Least favourite is probably Photoplay. I will pick up the occasional piece from them, but overall their colours are just way too bright and the patterns don't usually appeal to me on the ones that are less bright. I always look at their new lines but do so expecting I won't particularly care for them or add anything to my wish list.
I'd also put Maggie Holmes and Paige Evans in this category. MH's are just way too repetitive. There are only so many swans and overblown roses the average person needs, and that number is way lower than the number that have been in her collections. The longer PE designs collections the less I like her stuff, I find her patterns way too busy to work with my style.

I'm always totally uninterested in Doodlebug, Photoplay, Shimelle, Amy Tangerine, BoBunny, 49 and Market or anything that looks like it. Like Mintay or P13. Simple Stories has always been my favorite but I've been buying less because they've had so many vintage collections. I started buying more Felicity Jane and I'm sorry to see them to. I also started buying more Pinkfresh. artbabe, ITA about EP. So repetitive.

My faves: Cocoa Vanilla Vicki Boutin Pink Fresh (I don't buy every collection) 49th and Market (ditto on this one)
The ones that don't come home with me: Graphic 45 Bo Bunny Doodlebug Echo Park Photoplay and lately Simple Stories (they're looking all the same)

My favourites are/were Felicity Jane, Kelly Bangs and Rosie's Studio. NZ's Rosie's Studio is ace: I've been saying for ages it would be great to have a manufacturer provide product suitable for those on budgets or beginners and they do this beautifully. Plus, their collections are routinely in pastel shades, which is right up my street and you can mix and match them.
I'm not really into any other designers, but then I'm super fussy about colour palettes and a lot are very colourful and bright for my tastes.

Felicity Jane was my favorite.
I like the texture and weight of Carta Bella. I hate the lines with slick feeling paper. I think Photoplay? is like that.
I really don't have a favorite right now, since it all seems to be the same old, same old. I have been buying a few sheets of various lines, but no whole collections.

I love me some Vicki Boutin for the saturated colors and graphics, and Cocoa Vanilla. Least favorite is probably Doodlebug with the cutesy themes and faces, or Graphic 45. Just not my style.

My go-to companies/designers are Vicki Boutin, 49 & Market, and Simple Stories. I've also really liked the last few Heidi Swapp lines. I can usually find something I like from most American Crafts collections, although I don't have a need for a lot of patterned paper, so I try to keep a limit on it. I like 49 & Market embellishments, and I loved Spectrum Sherbet. Some of the floral lines are getting a bit repetitive, so I tend to only look now if the colour scheme is really a favourite and the b-sides are a must have.
I don't have too much of a need for overly vintage or fussy lines, so I tend not to buy Mintay or P13. I really cannot make Graphic 45 work for me. Echo Park/Carta Bella are hit and miss for me. I will watch those to see if there are particular themes that appeal. I tend not to buy Doodlebug, but adore their enamel dots and basics. I just bought a few of their less cutesy papers to see if I can make them work with my photos and styles.

Not so much; Pinkfresh is all I can come up with right now.

I'm not sure why, but I just LOVE Simple Stories. Even the lines that I don't like from them, I often like more than others I see elsewhere. (Although the caveat to that is I'm not big into vintage-ish vibes, or vintage collections that are HEAVILY one theme - like lemons or strawberries.)
I also subscribe to Ali and Paper Person and enjoy both of their designs for the most part. Those are my top three for sure, with a side of Traci Reed when I'm feeling like printing things myself.

Favorite companies: Crate Paper, PinkFresh Studios, Heidi Swapp, Cocoa Vanilla
Least favorite companies: Carta Bella, Doodlebug, Amy T, Bella Blvd, Authentique, Fancy Pants, My Minds Eye, Photoplay.
In between: Echo Park, Obed M, and Simple Stories. I rarely buy their paper. Maybe 1 to 2 times a year if that. More misses than hits for me.

Depending on the theme, I like simple stories, echo park and carta bella

I am all over the board - I like different companies for different projects. I like heavy weight papers with lots of embellishment choices and tons of options.
My current favorite: Vicki Boutin's collections for the colors and thoughtful designs. I've learned how to use it thanks to her online presence. Love the mixed media techniques that work so well with it.
Old favorite: Simple Stories, I buy the collections that appeal to me. They offer so many options for my many moods. Love their stickers sheets, chipboard and other embellishment choices. Love the design team and their projects too.
Honorable mention - Bella Blvd for the quality of their paper and the colors. I love that they use the same basic colors in the collection making it a consistent match. The solids and basic patterns (stars, hearts, dots) are so easy to use.
Tired old friend: I have way too much EP due to buying so many collection kits at a warehouse sale. I need to find a way to use it and love it again. I find I don't have a lot of their embellishments which might be part of the issue.
Stuff I don't like - Graphic 45 is just not my style. I tend to look right past it. Photorealistic papers- can't figure out how to use it.
What I miss: My Minds Eye - still have a small stash Basic Grey - I still have a lot of - I never knew how to use it. I think I need to start pulling it out and making up some kits to use it up.

Faves: Cocoa Vanilla (when I can find it), Simple Stories Disney themed line but the other lines not as much, Pink Fresh in small doses, Paper Person and Elle's Studio for kit subs.
Not my style: Graphic 45 (unless I'm working on something vintage), 49th & Market, Prima, basically anything too floral or vintage looking.
While I like Ali Edwards & Heidi Swapp, I really don't like their handwriting on every darn thing so I usually don't buy much of their lines.

I would never mention my least favourite, because in the digital world they're all individual designers, and that would be rude. There are designers whose styles don't match mine, but I wouldn't name them.
My favourites are Just Jaimee, Humble & Create, Lynne Grieveson, Katie Pertiet, Traci Reed, Designed by Soco, Sahin Designs, NBK Designs, Dunia Designs, Gina Miller Designs, Kim B Designs, Anita Designs, Mommyish.... I'm sure I've missed some.
My favourites out of the paper companies who also do digital kits - Simple Stories, Cocoa Vanilla Studio (I wish they hadn't stopped doing digital kits!), Echo Park, American Crafts (Vicki Boutin and Pink Paislee).

Favorites- cocoa Vanilla Simple stories (except for the upcoming release)
Don’t hate me but Graphic 45, Vicki Boutin and the other American crafts lines are generally not my style. I did pick up some of the Crate Paper mittens collection at a big discount. There’s a lot of pink, but some fun embellishments.
Photoplay, Echo Park & Carta Bella, Doodlebug & Bella Blvd are generally my go tos, but have been hit or miss lately. I love that Photoplay tries different themes. Doodlebug is sometimes too cutesy, I wish they didn’t put smiley faces on everything. I wish some of the enamel shapes were available without the smiley faces.
Recently I’ve bought some 49th & Market which generally isn’t my style but I couldn’t resist the bright colors of the spectrum collection. And I love the thickness of the papers, chipboard & embellishments.
I miss OA, Lily Bee, Jillibean Soup, Scenic Route and Little Yellow Bicycle.

My least favorites are Echo Park, Photoplay, Bella, Graphic 45. They are just not my style.
Favorites are usually Vicki Boutin, Simple Stories, Pretty Little Studio, SOME AC…mostly the florals and great B sides.

Least: Graphic 45, Vicki Boutin (but her xmas lines are great and pair really well with Basic Grey Xmas lines if you have any in your stash), Paige Taylor Evans (love her cut files, but her color choices hurt my eyes!),
Favorites: 49th & Market (they also pair really nicely with some old Basic Grey), Carte Bella (just the Steven Duncan lines, since I loved October Afternoon), Bella Blvd (sometimes the colors are too bright, but they use the same shades so you can pull from different lines to make really nice combo's, and the paper quality is good). Some Pinkfresh lines.
I have such a large stash that I tend to just random sheets of paper from different manufacturer's to supplement my stash.

Great question artbabe. I'm not usually a big fan of Photoplay, Reminisce, or Doodlebug but they occasionally draw me in. It's also hard for me to use Pinkfresh; I like it but don't do well actually making pages with it. Also Graphic 45 is beautiful but I find it difficult to use. Although I did just buy a few sheets. Think I'll frame one of them. Some of my favorites are Carta Bella, some of the Simple Stories, 49th & Market, and sometimes Fancy Pants. And I do like a lot of Bella Blvd. And I too miss October Afternoon, Jillibean Soup, and Lilybee.

In the past year I’ve bought exactly one paper collection from Pink Fresh. And project specific items from Ali Edwards.
All the old standards are boring and redundant to me now - Simple Stories, Echo Park, Carta Bella, etc.
I’ve never cared for super cutesy, Doodlebug, Bella, PhotoPlay.
Nor do I care for photo real or overly themed products like Reminisce.
What I love…Pinkfresh, Heidi Swapp and when Studio Calico made 12x12 papers, Basic Grey, The Girls Paperie. I’m struggling man.

I subscribe to Ali Edwards kits so that’s my favorite as it’s what I like to use the most for my project life and other other albums. Beyond that, I buy random things (mostly stamps but some papers/cards/embellishments) from Paper Person, Heidi Swap, Kerri Bradford, everyday Explorer, studio calico…
I do not buy collections or the brands listed here. I really don’t like the collection idea even if I liked the product. I like to mix and match - that’s what’s fun to me abijt scrapbooking. “Collections” Weren’t a “thing” (at least in my world) when I was scrapping years ago and it doesn’t appeal to me now either. I supplement my new purchases (of which there are too many!) with tons of old paper and random embellishments I had from 15 years ago. I also have a bunch of BH project life Cards I bought when I briefly returned to scrapping PL life style about 8 years ago. I try to use some of those now, either as they are with their rounded corners, or I alter them.
