Has anyone noticed that since the new year there haven't been any free items? Every "free" items has a must spend x amount of money attached to it.
There also hasn't been any good "freebies" or deals.
It seems like prices have gone up too. I didn't spend $6 for a single domed ink blender. That is the current price. On sale for $4 something.

I haven't noticed because I'm supposed to be on a spending freeze until I get 25 layouts done. I did notice that the discount you get with a Scrapbooks and Cards Today sampler kit went down from 10% to 8%. With everything being so much more expensive these days they must be trying to cover some of their expenses?

They had a free Echo Park 6x6 paper pad that was free --- didn't have to spend x amount to get it --- on January 10. And right now they are offering free mini Dylusions glue sticks (but they are sold out, but weren't earlier). Last week I got a free SB.com Rainbow Glitter Slimline paper pad. Have prices gone up? Yeah, just like everywhere else.

I think the free with $ purchase is relatively new but there have been truly free items as well.
Prices are up, but manufacturers are charging more.

Right now, there is a free domed foam blender with $20 purchase, a free copy of Scrapbook and Cards today and a coupon for 10% off with SAVETEN. Depending on what you're looking for, not a bad deal. The % off I think is the highest they offer. The free shipping ones seem really infrequent. You tubers with affiliate links might have a preview of upcoming sales?

Yeah, they still have some outright freebies with any purchase, but there don't seem to be as many and I believe setting a price threshold to get certain "free" items is a recent development.
I don't begrudge them that, as costs for everything from manufacturing to shipping have gone up. I still like ordering from them because of their selection, getting the free copy of Scrapbook and Cards Today, and even though the shipping is not cheap (especially on anything 12x12 - yikes) it at least ships quickly (in my experience, anyway). Sometimes I would choose not to get the freebies because I knew I wouldn't use it or didn't need it, so while it was a nice little bonus, it wasn't my reason for picking them over another shop.

I haven’t paid attention to the freebies, but it seems like they are offering a % discount more frequently. I get their texts and it seems like since the New Year, I’ve had offers for 5, 8, 10 and maybe even one day at 13? I’m on a freeze, so I had to just browse away.

They never used to do it as often. I don't need anything and shipping is too much to entice, but I guess it's good if you're in the market. I think it's a sign of the {economic} times tho, "sales" are everywhere.

I just ordered a die today and there was a free slimline size paper pad (the Boho colors). No particular amount of $ spent was needed.

In todays email, I noticed they raised the minimum for free shipping again. It used to be $70, then went to $75, now it's must spend $99 to get free shipping.

I'm more frustrated with everything I want always being out of stock.

Can I also add in that my biggest or most severe cases of buyer’s remorse are ALL SB.com purchases?
The first two were storage items. One just wasn’t quite right for what I needed after all, but the second their description of the item was somewhere between incomplete and misleading. Left a one-star review of that one.
Most recently, I went to use the basic nested rectangle dies I bought in the big sale and realized that they’re too tall and skinny to work easily on A2 cards. Suddenly makes sense that it was the ONLY basic shape set still in stock.
I clearly need to slow down and pay more attention — or maybe just shop there less! It seems to only be there I have this issue.

You have to be careful with their basic shape dies and check the size in the description box since they’re an Australian company.

Nope! SB.com brand. The largest is 4 x 6 and they nest in from there. Probably great on a 5 x 7 card (is that A7 maybe?), but awkward at best on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

OfficeSupply.com, which has an astonishing selection of papercrafting stuff, has free shipping at $45.

I just want to say that the dotted alpha stickers they’ve had as a free gift a few times in recent months are complete trash. Zero stick to them. You will absolutely need to add adhesive. They are so crappy the letters are falling off the sheet before I can even try to use them.
