First of all, it’s mesmerizing to watch someone go at an outdoor drain with a rake to take care of a little flooding in the street caused by a rain storm. The little whirlpools and declining water levels as the leaves and debris get cleared away—. GOOD STUFF.
Secondly, I couldn’t figure out how this one dude kept encountering clogged outdoor drains. Where did he live? That was so rainy and contained so many ill maintained Streets?
I don’t guess I understand all of the TikTok machinery, but it looks like lots of people are unclogging outdoor drains with rakes, and this channel that I’m following compiles those videos.
Is that right? Which odd content are you looking at?

I don’t have tik tok, but they come up in my reels feed on FB.
Lately I really enjoy purse packing videos. I love seeing all the cool travel size stuff people find and what others carry with them in their bags on a daily basis.

I simply cannot fathom wasting time watching people pack or unclog things. But then again I'm here reading about it, so what's worse? 😆
I cannot tell you how much I hate when people try to share TikTok videos with me. Most of them have finally quit trying.

I do it precisely to waste time - when I have to be somewhere that I can’t get anything useful done and I’m bored, just trying to kill time. When I’m waiting in the car for my kids, sitting through a kid’s lesson or practice, sitting at a play place or park, waiting in line in my car (like at the bank), waiting for Target to bring my pickup order out. |

I don't carry a purse, but I am thinking I need to watch some of these videos! LOL
I also see a lot of the drain clearing videos. I love the short videos!

Ahhhh I love TikTok for randomness like this! I have seen a few clogged street drain videos and while slightly satisfying, I didn't like or comment so I didn't get in the 'clogged drain' algorithm  What I did get on, was carpet washing TikTok! This guy hoses down the dirtiest floor rugs, soaps them up and all these years of grody funk/pet stains come out and then he squeegees the rugs, hoses down again and then with some sort of shovel thing he expresses out the water and then has a giant long spin machine to get out all the rest of the water. I love seeing the carpets all beautifully cleaned, especially these old Oriental rugs. I also am recently getting laundry dumping lives. It's insane. These women film themselves dumping TONS I mean TONS of laundry detergent, squishing the laundry pods, scoops and scoops of powder into top loading machines and people watch! She says its for people who have 'pregnancy pica' it helps for them to avoid actually trying to eat the detergent so she does these dumps. Her feeds get tons of people asking her to 'dump more of the Gain in!" "Squeeze some more pods!". Its the craziest thing. I watched in fascination one day and now I'm trying to flick past quickly so I don't have to see them anymore. So weird. |

I’ve watched more carpet cleaning videos than I care to admit on my Facebook watch feed…one leads to another and down the rabbit hole I go. Also find myself unable to scroll past the slot machine vids, I need to know what they won! Oy….
Edited to add: I probably didn’t need to know about the storm drain cleaners!
