Ok, thanks. It says 24-48 hours. Can I sign out?
I haven't been a Costco member for years, I was surprised it worked. Or rather it is in progress.
Already had a Shutterfly account too..

Yes, it is my understanding that you log out. I did, as did a pp and her photos all transferred over. The transfer happens between Costco and Shutterfly

My understanding was that, while we will no longer be able to order photo products from Costco, our photos will still be available to transfer to Shutterfly for the next YEAR. Hmm.... I haven't seen that anywhere... I went digging through my emails and found this in the initial Costco email on this subject, dated 1/5/23. So, not transfer to Shutterfly indefinitely, but photos stored at the Costco Photo Center should still be accessible for download to your own computer for the next year. “Watch your inbox for more detailed information beginning January 11th, 2023, as that’s when you will have the opportunity to begin the transition. At that time, Costco members can visit Costco.com and click Photo to opt-in and transfer your Costco photo account information, photos and address book to Shutterfly. Additionally, Costco members will be able to download their images, currently available at CostcoPhotoCenter.com, to their personal computer through January 31st, 2024.”

Did mine but so many people say Shutterfly isn’t great. I loved Costco matte finish. Anyone have suggestions as to who to use for photos like Costco's matte finish?

Thanks for the reminder! I sent mine over and it was super easy, just had to remember my Shutterfly password lol. I love Shutterfly books so guess I’ll need to make one in the next 18 months.

Higher cost but I use Persnickety Prints. I have used them in the past and liked them. The trick is to get prints made when they have their sales.

I couldn't find a way to download to my computer when I looked the other day. Will try again at some point, I imagine.

It's been 72 hours and I haven't received an email. Anyone else? I looked at the Shutterfly account and I see old pictures from 2009. I must have uploaded those back then.

I received the email confirming the photos had been successfully transferred very quickly, within a couple of hours, anyway. I didn’t actually check that it had happened, though. I guess I should mosey on over there and take a look.

I have not received an email either... and it's been 4 days. Checked my spam folder too... Will log onto Shutterfly at some point to check if the photos are there.

Mine transferred successfully.
I have to say, Shutterfly quality is terrible now, my last set I ordered went right into the trash. Persnikety is the way to go. I hate to depend on Shutterfly to store my photos though, so that's another task I need to do, get them somewhere stored.
I used to use Google Picasa I think it was. That's such a big project, what a headache

But I still miss it!

No email, so I finally had to call. It's been close to 2 weeks. The service rep has to send my issue to the IT person to figure out what's going on. Ugh. I wanted this to be simple.
