So something interesting popped up on my Instagram feed. It sounds like Steven Duncan may be starting his own brand of scrapbooking paper. Here is the post from Instagram: http://instagr.am/p/Cn7nH6MPDEX And if you peruse his website, here is a link to the other papers in his first collection called Up North. The papers are focused on Minnesota and Wisconsin. I have tooooons of photos from my childhood in Wisconsin and Minnesota, so I am very excited! I have always loved his style, ever since his October Afternoon days. So what do you think of this new collection? I am excited to see a new brand pop up after so many have closed their doors. Edit: I have not found any potential release dates, but I will keep an eye out.

Living "Up North", I love it. I did notice that he spelled Fergus Falls wrong, though.

I really wanted to like it, especially since my family is from WI and we just visited this summer, but I can't do the off white/cream. I do like it other than that.

Glad he is still in the business but I have always found his papers so hard to use. The designs are awesome but not usable for me.

OA was my favorite paper company ever and I still have some partial collections that I just won't use up because that style has been harder for me to find anymore. I hope he does start his own company or offers his stuff off of his own site. I would love it!

Very graphic. I would use a sheet or too to supplement my OA stash. Looking forward to seeing more!

That is very specific paper, but my family is from Minnesota, so I know many of the places. Some of the paper would be perfect for any place though.

Well…I am an Aussie and some of those pattered b sides are right up my alley. I especially live the ginghams and the blues- no one does blue like Steve Duncan I LOVE the off white vintage base- fits perfectly with the rest of my OA stash. Now…. stevenduncandesigner …what we REALLY need are minimarket alphabet stickers!!!!!!

I never really liked OA (don't hate me), so this isn't really my jam; but I'm happy for those of you who like his style.

I would buy and use NYC, Chicago, Italy, London, Texas, Canada, Mexico, Germany and other international destination lines. Several can be repurposed for holidays and other themed events (think Texas = Western, Italy = Italian food, Mexico = Cino De Mayo, Germany = Christmas Markets). I used Metro and En Vogue for a bridal gift album and it was perfect. But especially the Europe inspired maps just make me so happy .

He is hands down my favourite designer as well. In the link you provided I love the Outdoor Adventures collection so much as well and hadn't seen any photos of that one yet.

TFS! While I welcome a new brand, I find its first collection (Up North) too specific, heavily (edge) distressed, & predictably like (his lines already produced by) Carta Bella. IMHO it doesn't feel new or fresh in the industry. ETA: He is hands down my favourite designer as well. In the link you provided I love the Outdoor Adventures collection so much as well and hadn't seen any photos of that one yet. Carta Bella Outdoor Adventures was released a couple years ago (& still available at SB.com & ACOT).

Love it, but I have such a hard time scrapping with cream-based papers. They just never work for me.

I really love the retro, grungy style! Cowboy Country is more indicative of where I live though.
