Anyone have a list of themes/categories or how they separate PL cards? I have so many leftover cards from used PL/documenter/KP kits I need to sort and store. So I actually use them!
I’ll try and take pictures of before and after
PS I’ve gone down the organization rabbit hole! Send chocolate and alcohol!

I don't have a ton but my categories are:
children girls guys Fall Summer Spring basics travel nature/wildlife cards (stuff like cutaparts that say Hello or Thank you) wedding
christmas and military are in my theme drawers since they aren't going to get used unless I'm working on those themes. I kept travel out because I do use those for other pages sometimes

I've watched a couple of videos (here's one I watched: Taniesa Vlasak on organization of pocket cards and they mostly organize by color, then they have categories for the cards that are multi-colored, like: arrows/symbols speech bubbles quote cards day/month seasons (winter, spring, summer, fall) weather florals hearts stars family numbers ledger/lined specialty (letter press, wood veneer) travel food celebration

I think more in terms of color and manufacturers with my PL cards so I sort that way, especially when there is no clear theme for the card. Other themes include: Food Travel Seasons Celebrations Books Quotes Work

Mine are grouped as follows:
Filler Card - some all over design, icon, word or phrase
Journaling Card - this would have white space, maybe framed, maybe journaling lines
List Card - some sort of numbered list, bullets, number
Picture Card - usually has a spot to put a small 2x2 picture
Day/Month/Year/Calendar
Holiday - I sort by individual holiday

I kind of have a lot. It’s evolved over the years.
Filler by ROYGBIV (mostly patterns, no room to journal) Blanks/ledger (light color, good for stamping or journaling) 1/2 Journal ROYGBIV (something on half or more with some room for journaling.) Full journaling (most of the card is empty) Filler - quotes (I don’t keep a lot of these) Filler - images (cityscape, animals, etc) Celestial Entertainment- music/movies/rv Camping/Outdoors Adventure/travel Fall & Winter (includes holidays, month specific) Spring & Summer Time Daily/Today (Days of week) This/That (any either or card) Currents/lists Fill in cards Family/US/We Reading/School Photo/Camera Bad day/hard Story Celebrations This is Me Specialty - foiled, wood, acetate
I’m missing a few, this is off the top of my head.
