When I stopped scrapbooking, over 15 years ago, I was leaning toward the Simple Scrapbooks style, and find that I much prefer that over some of my older pages. Thankfully, I guess, I didn't actually make too many pages so it won't take long to redo the pages I now dislike.
I would like to find some inspiration where the main paper is a white or a cream color with a bit of fun color added in the form of patterned scrapping paper in small or simple patterns. I would like to limit my embellishments to patterned or solid papers, along with a Circuit cut title, and hand written or typed out journaling.
I love scrapbook paper so I do want to try to incorporate it into my pages, just very little of it. I was gifted a huge number of 6x6 pads and I have patterned paper I saved from years ago to use.
I am a minimalist so would like my pages to reflect my decorating style.
Does anyone here scrapbook that way? Links appreciated. Websites or recommended books/reading.
Thanks for reading! I'm looking forward to the whole process of editing my photos, and organizing in albums. I will be purging many digital photos as well as negatives as I go along and make sure to back up the keepers. My digital files are a mess with duplicates saved all over the place, but, that is my decluttering goal for the year, and probably many years.

Hope you get back into scrapping, x2mom. nylene does some wonderful work with Silhouette titles and embellishments, and Linda has a minimalist style. Both work in 8 1/2 x 11". Chinagirl828 is another Pea who may be able to help you: she works in 12x12 but her style is very artistic yet clean.

I don't buy Thickers or letter stickers because I can cut them with my Silhouette. My pages are 8.5x11 and are pretty simple. I enjoy paper piecing so usually do that on a layout and that just about fills the page. I post in the gallery here and in the Sharing thread. Linda has a lot of layouts in the Sharing thread with great designs for that smaller size. Welcome back to scrapping. You will get lots of help and ideas here.

I belong to a group on Facebook called Scrapbook Layouts. Tons of inspiration on there. But specifically when I read your post, I thought of one person in particular that I think fits your style. Her name is Celina Novella H. Search for her in the group. Her pages are simple, but beautiful.

Most of the ideas I save are simple. I second or third Nylene's pages!

Thank you for all the suggestions.
Sorry it took so long to get back but we just got our internet back yesterday afternoon. 3 1/2 days with no electricity and 7 days with no internet.
It's been so long that I "scrapbooked" that everything I own is out of date. Editing software out of date, not compatible with operating system on computer. Sooo, that is a priority right now, to get everything up to date. At one point I was using Lightroom3 and I loved it so I may buy into the monthly plan. I think I will still need Photoshop Elements 2023. The last PSE I had was PSE 10! Need an updated camera as well since Id like to get back into photography. I'm sure I'll be posting questions about those topics at some point.
