Welcome to 28-4-28 and Finish It Friday challenges!
I'm pretty sure that most of us have some sort of unfinished class/kit/album/project that either needs just a couple of pages more to be finished or maybe you haven't started the class or kit or album at all! I decided that this month I'd focus on getting started or finishing those things that have been taking up space in your house or on your hard drive.
Today's challenge is CLASSES! I am notorious for buying a class then completely forgetting about it so today I changed that! What I'd like you to do is go through your backlog of classes you've signed up for and see if there's an assignment or challenge you haven't completed yet and FINISH IT! If you're like me and haven't started any of your classes, START IT TODAY! Or, if you're one of those unicorns who finishes classes within the month or two that you signed up, you are amazing and I hope to be you someday. Your challenge is to go back and redo one of your class assignments that you maybe don't like or just feel like creating something new with it.
I decided to tackle one of the 15 Shimelle classes I've signed up for over the years. I did the first lesson for Use What You Buy: Stamps. Since I work mainly in pocket pages and smaller format albums, I decided to take her lesson and adapt it to a 4x6 card for my Project Life album.
Here's my example. I used an Everyday Explorers for Studio Calico stamp and ink from Stampin' Up. I really am happy with how it turned out!
And here's the finished card. I used scraps of blue to pop the photos off the background a bit and embellishments from Paper Person's January 2023 kit:
And here's the twist: Participate - even if you just stop in for 1 minute and say "HI!" - in the weekend crop! The weekend crops are back and it would be so great to see more smiling faces! I will definitely stop in to say hi. Look on the general scrapbook board for crop info!
POINTS: Challenge team members can earn points from playing along, but if you are not a member of a team, just ignore this: Earn FIVE points for meeting the challenge + a BONUS of TWO points if you meet the twist on the same project. Bonus 500 points for completing ALL 28 challenges--with or without the twist--on or before March 7th.
