Air pods

I use mine to listen to music and podcasts while working out and around the house.

I also use them to talk on the phone. It allows me to be hands free.

I finally broke down and bought a pair almost 2 years ago. LOVE THEM. Really bummed that I waited so long to jump on the bandwagon. Mine are the pro version.

I primarily use them at home or out walking - when walking I just use one so I aware of what’s going on around me. At home I love them for listening to the news while moving around and doing chores, cooking, etc. without cranking the volume. I also have two children under the age of 3 next-door (I live in a condo). As is with children, the mid afternoon to early evening are particularly loud (what I used to call the witching hours when my son was that age), and I find it much nicer to listen to music or whatever without the kids’ screeching (totally normal small children noise) interrupting me.

I also use them when flying and I don't want to bring my larger noise cancelling headphones.

I do want to add that I had to replace the rubber part that goes in the ear to smaller rubber pieces that I purchased on Amazon. Apparently my ear canals are small. That said, I do need to remove them after a couple of hours because they start bugging my ears. Usually about 15-30 minutes after removing them I can out them back in without them bothering me.

I mainly use mine to listen to audio books at work, but I also like to use them if I'm working outside in my garage or yard, or if I'm doing a project inside my house. Having all the other noises blocked out helps me concentrate.

I love my regular AirPods, but hate the Pros. The pro ones are too big for my ears. I love using mine for phone calls, listening to music & podcasts, even recording instructional videos (the mic is pretty good) when I need to have some noise canceling but don't want to hook up a bigger mic.

I lost my Air Pods and when I got a replacement pair, I just bought the base model rather than the Pro. I use them every day.

I love that if a call comes through, Siri asks if I want to answer, and I can just say "yes" and can answer hands free.
I have set mine up so that a double tap on the right pod will pause the music/podcast, and a tap on the left will skip ahead. 
I like that if you misplace them, you can use the Find My app to locate them. (But not my first pair, because they were flat.)
I love that I no longer have to try and untangle cords. 

I'm sure the Pro version can do lots more stuff than my base model.

DS was looking for a Christmas gift for me and was at Costco. Right in front of him were Air Pods Pro and that’s what he got me. I like them a lot and use them to listen to music when I exercise. They are great.

This might sound odd, but I hate being out in public sometimes. I find it easier to run errands like shop at target if i can drown out the chaos around me by losing myself in a podcast/music while I shop. I also bring them with me to Disneyland for the same reasons (I like tuning out others).

I love my AirPods Pro. I bought them during Covid teaching when I had to attend a million online professional developments and meetings. Now I mostly use them for audio books or music when exercising or cleaning the house, or for music and videos while traveling. Periodically I pop them in if I want to watch a YouTube video at home with out disturbing DH.

I have tiny ear canals, and the regular AirPods didn’t work for me. The Pro version comes with differently sized silicone tips, and the smallest ones were just right.

I have the AirPods Pro and love them. I used them all the time, at home, at the store, at the office, work, working out, all the time!

I have both the original Apple AirPods and the AirPod Pro's.
Love them both, but the originals do make my ears hurt if I wear them for a long time.

I have a couple (cheap) off-brand's and they do not compare to the Apple ones. I also have an iPhone, so the ease in using them with the iPhone is so simple!



Have you tried all the different size tips? I use the smallest tip size and those work great for me. I had a different size on for a long time, and couldn't believe how much better I liked them when I switched to a small tip.

I got some regular air pods for dog walking today. I have good-quality noise cancelling headphones, so that wasn't important to me; it was $99 for regular ones and $250 for pros, so that was what I did .

When my son bought some, I thought he'd gone mental for spending so much money on tiny earbuds. Then I tried them.

Now everyone in our family has them. I use mine for Zoom calls, YouTube, workouts. I'm not sure they're the best for flying because they don't work with seatback screens.

For flying, DH and I bought the big magilla Bose noise cancelling headphones a few years ago. Now there are no crying babies, loud conversations or chatty seatmates. It's nirvana. It seemed like a stupid amount of money at the time, but worth every cent.

I got the pros and have only used them a few times. They fall out if I lean over. I have tried both tips. I prefer the older corded version and they don’t fall out. I guess I should try them but am afraid they will fall out into water or something. I do like not having to carry my phone around with them. I also was surprised how quickly they need to recharge.

My sixteen-year-old lost his on a trip to portland last year and I can still see them on my find my iPhone in the house of the person who has them :/.
