Happy weekend everyone! This month I will be hosting the 28-4-28 challenges every Saturday. No surprises here, my theme is Sketchy Saturday! Each week I will be offering up two sketches, kind of like a This or That theme. For today's challenge, I made a sketch from a layout I saw on Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Instagram by Mandy Melville: You Rock Are you a single or double page scrapper? Today I have created both a single page and a double page sketch. Feel free to tackle both if you like! The single page can also be easily converted into 8.5x11. Here is the 12x12 sketch: And here is the 24x12 sketch: This is my page for the 24x12 sketch: The twist this week is a simple one, and sticks with our Saturday theme. Choose at least three items from the following list to include on your page: S - Stamp A - Aqua T - Tag U - Under (tuck elements under a photo) R - Ribbon D - Dots A - Alpha Stickers Y - Yellow Have fun!

Yay a sketch to play with today! I just finished my example for next week so I get to try some of the other challenges out now. This pairs well with my shapes challenge too I love all of your example, but to pull out ONE thing I love about it...the polka dot you chose for the upper border - it's light and airy and cloudy and sets the whole scheme of your page!

Here is my take on your fun sketch, AussieMeg . There is love on Flickr for your take on it. Smashing Pumpkins by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I replaced a couple of the photos, one with a title block and one with the journaling tag. The inking and layering of the "snow" at the bottom don't show up in my photo of the LO, and the background snowy sky and letter stickers are actually dark navy rather than black, but I had fun putting this one together, and don't want to spend longer photographing it than it took to create it LOL. I have Aqua (behind the title), a Tag and some Dots for the twist.

AussieMeg, Your example of the 2 pager is beautiful. I will leave love in the gallery. I love this one page sketch. It was perfect for a picture I was wanting to scrap. I cut a stencil and made sunburst rays on my background. I ended up moving the journaling because my drum set turned out larger than I thought. But it was quick and fun and I really enjoyed it. So, thanks for the Challenge. I used dots, aqua, under and yellow for the twist. grammadee, you have love in the gallery. I love that dark, snowy background paper. Live Loud

I'm using a 6x8 notebook for the Layout a Day challenge I'm doing this month, so I had to modify the sketch a bit. nylene seeing your 8.5x11 definitely helped me figure it out. Thanks. Broken Glass

gamecollector by BreetheFlea, on Flickr My contribution to day #4. Used the sketch--check. Stamps, and there are aqua and yellow on there for the three items. I really liked this sketch and might have to use it again. I do have to say this Carta Bella collection is really hard to use... there are almost no papers in the collection that go with anything else. They're all super themey and busy...so that yellow polka dot paper was from my scrap bin. The sticker strips and border are from Simple Stories. I overbought on all the game collection paper when the collections came out, and will be trying to make layouts with them for decades, good thing we have a lot of board games to take photos of...

Linda, those are the sweetest photos. Your papers are so pretty together. I love the strips design and your cute baking embellishments. It makes me miss those days when the children were little. Pinned!

Always fun to get sketchy! Thanks, AussieMeg . grammadee , changing stars to pumpkins takes a some creativity, which you have in spades. I like the darkness of the background for a pumpkin themed layout. nylene ROCK ON indeed. Cute face, a young man, where did the little boy go? justjac what a nice memory captured. I was worried the pretty plate was broken until I figured out it was a delicious dessert with pieces. breetheflea You stayed so true to the sketch, that's my approach. Cute patterns and colors. I love board games. Linda effective use of the bands of color in the sketch. Such cute photos. My Day Four sketch response. Stars turned into eggs.

jjpeapea, Your Easter layout is wonderful. I love those cut files of colored eggs. Those pastel colors are perfect. Did you use dies to cut the eggs? The various patterns on them add a lot of interest. Beautiful layout. Chinagirl828, I love the brown/gray print on your background paper. Gorgeous kitty. You have love in the gallery.

I've been very slack about commenting, apologies! Thanks everyone for playing along. I love seeing all these fabulous layouts, and they're all quite different. Linda I love how you've adapted the sketch into two 8.5x11 pages. The colours you've used are perfect for your photos. I especially like the glitter striped paper at the top of the page. jjpeapea Your colours are so pretty and Easter-y. I love the Easter egg die cutes, they are so cute! It's a fun photo that you've scrapped. I've left comments in the gallery for the other gorgeous pages.
