My usual source of single color cardstock packs is moving warehouses, and is very vague about when they will be accepting orders again. So I'm stuck trying to find certain colors of cardstock I use a ton of (dark brown, dark green, cream...) elsewhere. My local craft store only sells 12 by 12 (textured) cardstock by the sheet which is not ideal. I don't want a multi-color pack because I need more than 4 sheets of a certain color, and don't need anymore of other colors, like mint green... J's-- doesn't sell bulk single color packs of anything in 12 by 12 that's not black or white... I didn't see anything at Tuesday Morning the other day. Maybe it's the push I need to switch to 8.5 by 11, but I don't wanna! So, if you are cheap, I mean thrifty like me, and use a lot of 12 by 12 cardstock, where do you buy it? And are you having a hard time finding this scrapbooking staple, or is it just me? Thanks

I buy from Amazon for bulk papers, like white, black, navy, etc. linkI've purchased American Crafts and Bazzill. I also bought this Amazon brand and I am happy with the weight and color accuracy link

breetheflea , have you checked out Michaels? They sell several 25 sheet packs of cs. Not sure if your colours are carried, but I just picked up packs of ice blue and Kraft last month locally. Their Recollections cs all seems to be smooth.
Oh and I came on here to confess that maybe the shortage in the market is because of all the different colours I have hoarded over the years... Still have a whole drawer full--a stack that would be over 2 feet high if set on the floor...

I haven't noticed a shortage, although I'm still mourning the days SU sold packs of individual 12x12 colors. Just white and cream now or else multi-packs.
Creative memories and Close To My Heart have packs of single colors. I love the CTMH paper for my electronic die cut machine and that you get a two-tone on each sheet. I've found packs of Bazzill on eBay for a decent price for a certain texture/shade of white that seemed to have disappeared from everywhere else. Last year, I really stocked up early in the fall when J's had a paper sale. Want to say all 12x12 paper (not specialty) was 8/$1 plus I had another percentage off coupon that worked. I stocked up on all my most-used colors, I probably grabbed up to 20 sheets of a few of them. Seems that I've seen that same deal a couple of times since then.

Still have a whole drawer full--a stack that would be over 2 feet high if set on the floor... I don't have that much but I'm sure I'm close. I buy the bulk pack of AC white, black and navy. I keep different colours of cream and kraft separately too and buy those in singles from my LSS. I have about 12" of coloured cardstocks accumulated years ago. And yet, I'm often missing the shade I want! Lately, I've been using my copics or inks if I'm just matting a photo...mat in white and colour the edge (before you stick the photo down of course). I won't buy more coloured in the future because I am so dang fussy about colour match - I might as well buy the CS solids offered to match a line (like Simple Stories, Doodlebug, Echo park all have quite plain background offerings these days). Because I have an LSS, I haven't noticed a difference in supply! But I have also bought some 8.5x11 CS lately because those companies (lawn fawn, concorde & 9th, taylored expressions etc) make such yummy colours!

I would recommend trying Michaels, too.

. Still have a whole drawer full--a stack that would be over 2 feet high if set on the floor... I can beat that. But it's vintage Bazzill (a lot of it), I'm not getting rid of it!

I usually buy from ACOT or Scrapbook.com and they seem to run out all of the time. My other source is Michael's, especially when they have that incredible sale.
I only like textured so Michael's and Joann packs don't usually work for me. It is a pain in the butt buying it by the sheet, though. My Joann's checkout is so slow.
I miss when American Crafts had the big packs of all the different colors.
Oh, and I think my cardstock pile would be 3 feet high, but I never seem to have the color I need.

I would try Michaels, Stampin' Up!, and Close to My Heart. I really like SU's cardstock. They sell it in packs of 12 for white sheets.

Yeah, but what white is your white CS? I swear my family thinks I'm nuts when I tell them this Avalanche is not this Avalanche.

I buy cardstock at A Cherry on top, Scrapbook .com, Hobby Lobby. Once in while at Joann.
I haven't noticed a shortage.

Officesupply.com has quite a few colors of 12" x12" card stock bulk packages. Recently did my first order with them for some stamps and dies. $49+ free shipping . Quick shipping and frequent % off deals.

In addition to original Bazzill still in my inventory, I've also bought Bazzill in both same color & multi-color packs at Tuesday Morning pre-covid as well as by the sheet at Joann during its 10/$2 in-stock paper sales. What company is your usual source? It appears you are seeking smooth cardstock. What specific brand/colors? While I've never purchased from the company, 12x12 Cardstock Shop has been recommended in previous threads & sells numerous brands; it appears every color is sold by the sheet & in a 25-ct pack. HTH.

As far as Joann and slow check out goes, I've noticed that they regularly have extra percent off coupons for order online pick up in store. They work on regular price AND sale items (but not door busters). You save $$ and time -- no in-store checkout!!

I bought loose sheets of the My Colors Cardstock and they all have stickers on them because they don't have the branding strip. I hate those stickers, so for that brand I will now only buy packages but I too notice the price increase.

I bought those AC packs a few times and IIRC the regular price was about $19-20 and they were marked down to $12-13 and change. One of the first packs I got was defective. None of the corners were 90 degree angles. I bought them in November 2020 and June 2021 and the price hasn't gone down in a long time. So I'm not sure if they were selling off bad batches or if it was a markdown for other reasons. I stocked up the second time so I'm good for a while.

Two places you might check. Someone else mentioned officesupply.com. What they carry frequently changes so check back often. The second place you might check us thepapermillstore.com. They carry WorldWin smooth and silky card stock and have several shades of dark browns and creams. I've found dark green harder to find. 25 sheet package of 12 x 12 is $10.97. Cardstock is 80 lb. weight.

I KNEW there was a reason I bought so much paper and hung onto it. I can scrap for the rest of my life with what I have in this room right now... That's what I tell myself anyway, BEFORE I walk into the LSS...

Thanks for the ideas on places to purchase. I ordered a bulk pack of white cardstock (250 sheets) last year, so if the cardstock apocalypse happened I was prepared, but I haven't found that option for other colors (or it was way more expensive than the white was.) It does get frustrating and annoying to be at the store to see all those beautiful colors in 8.5 by 11, and then only a few/none for 12 by 12.

You are not alone, two weeks ago I went to order my favorite white cardstock - Bazzil Marshmallow White in 12x12. It was Out of Stock everywhere! I have been using it since 2016, never had a problem prior to this. I finally found some on Amazon, I ordered quite a bit. Sigh
