Hey Peas
I recently bought the Canon Selphy at Best Buy. I was able to get it working and hooked up to my phone just fine, and used it a few times. Today for no reason I cannot get it to connect to my phone at all. Its been 2 hours and I still cannot get it to work. I am beyond frustrated. I tried calling but it just takes me in circles. I registered the product on Canon's website but there is still no function that I can find to request support. Any ideas?

Good idea I’ll send a message on Instagram. If I can’t get it to work I’m taking it back to Best Buy this weekend… This was supposed to make my life easier! The lack of customer support is horrible.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? I don't have this printer but I used to do tech support so maybe I can help.
1. Reboot your phone and once it is back up, try printing. Sometimes that clears up issues. 2. Reboot your printer by completely unplugging it from the outlet and wait a minute or so before plugging it back in. Once it's powered back up, try printing. 3. Are you able to print from another device such as a tablet, computer or other phone? If so, there's something happening with your phone and hopefully rebooting will fix that.
If you've already tried those, see if there's a firmware update for your printer, you should be able to find it somewhere in the menus on your printer. I can look it up and link if you'd like.
Hope one of these will help!

Hope one of these will help! Thank you so much for this! I tried deleting the app from my phone and re-installing, unplugging the printer, and resetting the printer to factory settings. I didn’t try rebooting my phone so I’ll try that. My husband initially had the same issue connecting to his phone but after several tries it eventually did connect to his phone and successfully print something. My phone has been working fine with the printer for a few weeks until today. We got a new tv today and the troubleshooting manual says different wifi waves may interfere, so I unplugged the new tv and still no dice. When my husbands phone was successful, the tv was on so I guess that wasn’t the issue.

scrappyrabbit, is your phone connecting to the Selphy's wifi? You may need to disconnect from your home wifi first and then make sure you connect to the printer's wifi. I don't know if this is helpful or not. I've had mine for years, and at times I have to remember to switch the wifi connection.

It appeared as though the printers wifi was on but had no connection, if that makes sense.

This is for the Selphy cp1300 but here's a firmware update I found: Selphy firmwareIt looks like it helps keep the connection between the device and the printer more stable so if you haven't updated, it might be worth it.
